Job Title - (ServiceNow CMDB QA)

Experience Range

5+ Years

Hiring Location

Open / PAN India (Noida, Gurgaon, Pune, Bangalore, Kochi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum)

Must-Have Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow Testing and Quality Assurance for enterprise-scale implementations.
Strong expertise in ServiceNow Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Case Design, Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT, and End-to-End Testing.
Hands-on experience testing ServiceNow CMDB, including:
- CI Class Modeling
- CI Relationships
- Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE)
- Reconciliation Rules
- Data Sources
- Transform Maps
- CMDB Health Validation
Practical experience validating Common Service Data Model (CSDM) implementations.
Hands-on experience testing Discovery and Service Mapping, including:
- MID Server Validation
- Discovery Patterns
- Credentials
- Discovery Pattern Debugging
- Data Reconciliation
Strong understanding of CMDB Governance, including:
- Data Ownership
- Lifecycle Management
- Data Certification
- Normalization
- Duplicate Remediation
- Data Quality Controls
Strong expertise in ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Experience testing across at least three or more ServiceNow modules, including:
- ITSM
- ITOM
- ITAM
- HRSD
- SecOps
- GRC/IRM
- SPM
Experience testing Scoped Applications and custom ServiceNow applications.
Experience validating integrations using:
- REST APIs
- SOAP
- IntegrationHub
- MID Server
- Import Sets
- Transform Maps
- Scripted APIs
Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as:
- Postman
- SoapUI
Working knowledge of:
- JavaScript
- Glide APIs
- HTML
- CSS
- XML
- ServiceNow Scripting
Strong understanding of:
- ITIL Practices
- Service Management
- Asset Management
- Infrastructure Domains
- Application Service Dependencies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or equivalent platform expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of ServiceNow test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automated test suites.
Perform functional, integration, regression, UAT, end-to-end, and release validation testing.
Validate ServiceNow implementations across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, SecOps, SPM, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
Perform comprehensive CMDB and CSDM validation, including CI relationships, IRE, reconciliation, governance, and data quality.
Validate Discovery outputs, Service Mapping, and CMDB data ingestion from cloud, monitoring, asset, and third-party platforms.
Test Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Data Policies, Flow Designer workflows, IntegrationHub Spokes, and Service Catalog processes.
Validate ServiceNow integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, MID Server, IntegrationHub, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and Scripted APIs.
Perform security validation through role-based testing, ACL validation, and secure integration testing.
Develop and maintain Automated Test Framework (ATF) suites for regression testing, upgrades, and continuous validation.
Monitor defects, conduct root cause analysis, drive defect triage, and ensure timely resolution.
Provide QA leadership, mentor junior QA engineers, review test cases, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Support release management activities, UAT coordination, upgrade testing, and post-deployment validation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, platform governance teams, developers, and architects to ensure high-quality ServiceNow implementations.
Stay current with ServiceNow platform releases, CMDB/CSDM best practices, and emerging testing capabilities.
