PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Software Systems Engineer will be responsible for applying both Software/Application Knowledge and Project Management methodology to deliver a solution as defined by the customer requirements and product specifications (scope, costs, schedule, development methods and architectures).
The role has two principle elements, firstly to develop and manage project plans for successful implementation of GGS Asset Management Tools across the clients’ network and secondly to make a significant contribution to the delivery of successful projects through participation in the solution design and implementation activity. The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Onsite UAT/POC/production deployment support (Mumbai & PAN India (not frequent))
- product & solution demonstration – internal stakeholders and customers
- first point of escalation for internal and external Application & solution support
- contributor in augmenting and improving solutions with innovative approach
- Sanity Test and support the delivery of software releases to customers
- Devise & document SOPs, Process realignments & internal & External Release notes
- Develop detailed POC support plan & work closely with internal stakeholders & customers.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Pre- requisites
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent.
- Demonstrate experience of implementing developed solutions into a broad spectrum of customer IT environments
- Skill set - Basic knowledge on IT Infrastructure & OS operations, databases (MSSQL/Oracle/Postgres), Platforms like Jboss, Java applications. Exposure to solutions in Banking/Fintech domain would be a plus.
- Have experience of delivering implementation projects as part of a larger, multi site programme.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills for professional correspondence and interaction.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking &Analytical approach in handling situations/issues/projectsod team player, eagerness to learn
- open to be onsite with customers around Mumbai & India
