Azure Architect – FTE or C-H

For 20- plus years Centroid has helped complex companies accelerate their digital transformation by implementing and managing Cloud-based business solutions. Employment Type: Full-Time, or C-H
Location: Remote

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

Deep Understanding of Azure Services: A comprehensive grasp of Azure's core services across compute (Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, Azure Container Instances, Azure Kubernetes Service), networking (Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Azure DNS, VPN Gateway), storage (Blob Storage, Azure Files, Azure Queue Storage, Azure Disks), and databases (Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Database for MySQL/PostgreSQL).
Azure Architecture and Design: Ability to design scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Azure, aligning with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework.
Identity and Access Management: Expertise in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), including user and group management, role-based access control (RBAC), single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and conditional access.
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR): Ability to design and implement BCDR solutions using Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and other relevant services.
Monitoring and Logging: Experience with Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Application Insights for monitoring the health, performance, and security of Azure environments.
Cost Management: Ability to optimize Azure spending and implement cost control measures.

Experience:

Significant Cloud Experience: Looking for someone with 5-10 years of overall cloud experience, with a focus on Azure native cloud services.
Hands-on Azure Experience: Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure solutions is crucial. This includes working with various Azure services and implementing architectural best practices.
Experience with Migration: Familiarity with migrating applications and workloads from on-premises environments to Azure is often required.

Soft Skills:

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues in Azure environments.
Analytical Skills: Capacity to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Azure solutions.
Collaboration Skills: Working effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and security.
