Clinical Psychologist (RCI Registered)
Job Summary
The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with emotional, behavioral, developmental, and mental health concerns. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care while adhering to the ethical and professional standards prescribed by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Key ResponsibilitiesPsychological Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using standardized psychometric and diagnostic assessment tools.
- Administer, score, interpret, and document psychological assessments.
- Assess cognitive functioning, personality, emotional well-being, behavioral concerns, adaptive functioning, and neuropsychological profiles where applicable.
- Prepare detailed psychological evaluation reports with diagnostic impressions and recommendations.
Diagnosis
- Diagnose psychological and mental health conditions in accordance with accepted clinical guidelines and diagnostic criteria.
- Differentiate between developmental, behavioral, psychiatric, and psychological disorders.
- Recommend appropriate treatment plans and referrals where required.
Psychotherapy & Intervention
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families as appropriate.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Deliver interventions including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Behavior Therapy
- Play Therapy
- Family Therapy
- Parent Management Training
- Supportive Psychotherapy
- Stress and Anxiety Management
- Emotional Regulation Therapy
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Work closely with Psychiatrists, Pediatricians, Neurologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Special Educators, Physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and treatment planning.
- Coordinate referrals and continuity of care.
Parent, Family & Caregiver Counseling
- Provide psychoeducation regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognosis.
- Counsel parents and caregivers on behavior management and emotional support strategies.
- Conduct family intervention sessions where appropriate.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.
- Prepare assessment reports, therapy notes, discharge summaries, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with RCI guidelines, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with applicable regulations.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct workshops, awareness programs, and mental health education sessions.
- Provide training for caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals when required.
- Participate in clinical audits, research activities, and continuing professional development.
Qualifications
- M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology (RCI-recognized) or Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology (RCI-recognized), as per current RCI eligibility norms.
- Valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is mandatory.
- Additional certifications in CBT, DBT, ACT, Family Therapy, Neuropsychology, or Child Psychology are desirable.
Experience
- 1–5 years of post-qualification clinical experience preferred.
- Experience in hospitals, mental health clinics, rehabilitation centers, child development centers, or multidisciplinary healthcare settings is desirable.

Salary
As per organizational policy, qualifications, experience, and applicable industry standards.
Pay: ₹14,361.56 - ₹40,000.00 per month
