Role description summary
We are seeking a DevSecOps Manager to join our team, responsible for responsible for building and leading a high-performing team embedded across Agile workstreams to deliver secure, reliable software through CI/CD, cloud, and platform engineering practices. Drives the integration of security across the full software development lifecycle by championing shift-left security, managing key security tooling (SAST, DAST, container security, and more), ensuring compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to proactively manage risk and continuously improve security posture and delivery effectiveness.
Primary responsibilities / Key result areas
Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a global DevSecOps engineering team, including performance management, career development, hiring, onboarding, and succession planning.
Ensure DevSecOps engineers are effectively embedded into Agile development workstreams and provide strong support across CI/CD, cloud, platform, security, and application delivery activities.
Facilitate collaboration between Development, Information Security, IT Operations, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Business teams to drive secure and reliable software delivery.
Promote secure coding, shift-left security, security-by-design, and automated security controls across the software development lifecycle.
Evaluate, implement, manage, and continuously improve DevSecOps and security tools, including SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning, container security, secrets management, threat detection, and incident response tooling.
Ensure compliance with applicable security, privacy, and control frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and internal Information Security standards.
Support audits by ensuring timely collection, validation, and submission of evidence for systems, tools, platforms, and processes under the team’s responsibility.
Anticipate operational, security, and delivery risks; coordinate incident response, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement across environments.
Define, track, and communicate DevSecOps metrics and KPIs to measure security posture, delivery effectiveness, operational reliability, team performance, and maturity improvement.
Stay current with emerging DevSecOps tools, practices, and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, Certified DevSecOps Professional) are highly desirable
At least 12+ years of experience in the IT industry
7+ years in DevOps, security engineering, or a related role with at least 4 years in people management
Strong experience managing and leading global teams
Proven experience in implementing DevSecOps practices
Experience with Azure cloud platforms, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and Kubernetes management solutions such as Nutanix Kubernetes Platform
Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
Proficiency in security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanners, intrusion detection systems)
Experience with CI/CD tools and patterns
Knowledge of scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
Strong leadership and management skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies
