Job Title: Fresher DevOps Engineer
Location: Kochi
Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Fresher DevOps Engineers who are passionate about cloud technologies, automation, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in Linux, scripting, version control, CI/CD, containers, cloud computing, and DevOps tools. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on modern infrastructure, automation practices, and cloud-based solutions while learning from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Linux Administration
- Work with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL).
- Perform basic Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Manage users, permissions, and system services.
2. Scripting & Automation
- Develop and maintain basic Shell/Bash scripts.
- Assist in automating repetitive system administration tasks.
- Learn and contribute to infrastructure automation initiatives.
3. Version Control
- Use Git for source code management and collaboration.
- Maintain repositories and follow version control best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborative development.
4. CI/CD Pipeline Management
- Understand and support Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
- Assist in configuring and maintaining Jenkins pipelines.
- Help automate application deployment processes.
5. Containerization
- Build and manage Docker images.
- Deploy and maintain Docker containers.
- Work with Docker Compose for multi-container applications.
6. Cloud Infrastructure
- Work with AWS (preferred) or other cloud platforms.
- Understand Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and IAM fundamentals.
- Assist in provisioning and managing cloud resources.
7. Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Learn and implement Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Work with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning (preferred).
- Support automated infrastructure deployment activities.
8. Kubernetes Administration
- Understand Kubernetes architecture and core components.
- Work with Pods, Deployments, Services, and Namespaces.
- Use kubectl commands for managing Kubernetes resources.
9. Networking Fundamentals
- Understand TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Work with HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSH, and Load Balancer concepts.
- Assist in diagnosing basic network connectivity issues.
10. Monitoring & Logging
- Gain exposure to monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance.
- Understand logging and monitoring best practices.
11. Database Fundamentals
- Basic understanding of MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Execute simple SQL queries and understand relational database concepts.
- Support database-related deployment activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with internship experience in DevOps are encouraged to apply.
- Good understanding of Linux operating systems and Shell scripting.
- Basic knowledge of Git, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud fundamentals is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and SQL.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn new technologies.
