ERP Solution Consultant
Experience: 1–4 years | Location: Ahmedabad / Client Location / Hybrid
Role Overview
The ERPNext Solution Consultant executes techno-functional ERPNext implementation activities covering requirement understanding, process mapping, module configuration, basic customization, reports, workflows, scripts, APIs, data migration, testing, training and issue resolution.
The consultant must be able to work with business users as well as ERPNext and Frappe technical components. This position is not suitable for candidates who want to work exclusively as functional consultants without hands-on technical involvement.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement and Process Mapping
Participate in discovery workshops and requirement-gathering sessions.
Understand and document existing and proposed business processes.
Prepare requirement documents, process flows, user stories and gap lists.
Map requirements with standard ERPNext functionality.
Identify requirements requiring configuration, process change or customization.
Clarify requirements with clients and senior consultants.
ERPNext Functional Configuration
Configure assigned ERPNext modules independently.
Set up masters, transactions, roles, permissions, workflows, taxes and approval structures.
Configure modules such as Accounting, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, CRM, Projects, HR and Payroll.
Conduct internal demonstrations and client solution walkthroughs.
Validate cross-module transaction flows.
Frappe Technical Execution
Develop custom fields, DocTypes, workflows, reports, dashboards and print formats.
Write basic-to-intermediate Python server scripts and JavaScript client scripts.
Build or support basic REST API integrations.
Prepare SQL queries for reporting, validation and troubleshooting.
Understand and work with ERPNext document events, hooks and permissions.
Coordinate with Software Engineers for complex application development.
Follow coding, review, security and version-control standards.
Data, Testing and Deployment Support
Prepare migration templates and data-mapping documents.
Execute and validate master and transaction data migration.
Prepare test cases and conduct functional, integration and regression testing.
Support UAT, defect resolution and release validation.
Assist during deployment, go-live and post-go-live stabilization.
Client Communication and Training
Participate in regular project and client meetings.
Demonstrate completed configurations and customizations.
Prepare user guides, process manuals and training materials.
Conduct end-user training for assigned modules.
Provide accurate progress updates and escalate blockers promptly.
Required Experience and Skills
Hands-on experience with ERPNext and Frappe Framework.
Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript and SQL.
Experience configuring one or more ERPNext modules.
Knowledge of reports, workflows, print formats and permissions.
Basic experience with APIs and integrations.
Understanding of data migration, testing and UAT.
Ability to communicate with business and technical stakeholders.
Strong documentation and analytical skills.
