Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive Linux Systems Engineer.The ideal candidate will possess strong Linux administration expertise, automation skills, and production support experience.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration or Site Reliability Engineering.
Strong working knowledge of Linux operating systems including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, and CentOS.
Excellent command of Linux/Unix utilities, shell environments, and troubleshooting techniques.
Hands-on scripting experience using Python, Bash, or JavaScript to automate operational tasks.
Understanding of software development practices and operational tooling.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Understanding of REST APIs, networking concepts, and distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the stability, availability, and performance of Linux-based production infrastructure supporting customer-facing applications.
Monitor production environments and proactively resolve infrastructure and application issues before customer impact.
Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and respond to production incidents while maintaining SLA commitments.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement long-term corrective actions.
Create and continuously improve operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base documentation.
Support CI/CD pipelines by improving deployment automation, validation, and rollback mechanisms.
Analyze application and infrastructure performance to optimize API response times and system throughput.
Ensure Linux servers remain secure, patched, and compliant with organizational standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence and service reliability.
