Shaivaay is looking for a meticulous, experienced, and hands-on Senior QA Engineer to champion quality assurance across our digital ecosystem. In this role, you will take ownership of testing our web applications, Android applications, and iOS applications, building robust automated test frameworks while driving comprehensive manual testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Quality Ownership: Plan, design, execute, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile (Android/iOS) platforms.
Test Automation: Design, build, and scale automated testing frameworks from scratch for web applications (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress) and mobile apps (e.g., Appium, Flutter Driver, or Maestro).
Manual & Exploratory Testing: Conduct rigorous manual, functional, regression, UI/UX, and exploratory testing when new features roll out or edge cases arise.
API & Integration Testing: Validate backend services, REST APIs, and third-party integrations using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or specialized automation scripts.
Bug Lifecycle Management: Identify, document, track, and prioritize bugs using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) and collaborate closely with developers to drive fast resolution.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) to ensure continuous quality checks pre- and post-deployment.
Performance & Usability: Partner with the product and development teams to ensure high performance, security compliance, cross-browser compatibility, and cross-device responsiveness.
Process Leadership: Define QA best practices, establish testing metrics, and mentor junior QA team members if applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a strong blend of both manual and automation testing.
Domain Coverage: Proven, hands-on experience testing both web applications and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
Automation Expertise: Strong proficiency in at least one automation tool/framework for web (Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright) and mobile (Appium or equivalent mobile automation tool).
Programming Languages: Good coding/scripting foundation in languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
API Testing: Proficient in API testing using Postman or automated API testing scripts.
Mobile Specifics: Deep understanding of mobile app deployment environments, device fragmentation, handling emulators/simulators, and capturing device logs (Logcat, Xcode console).
Version Control: Working knowledge of Git for tracking test scripts and code.
Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and defect-tracking tools (Jira).
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong communication skills to articulate bugs and quality risks clearly to cross-functional teams.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
