We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting activities The role of the Senior Accountant is focused on accounting functions within the Accounting Department. Primary responsibilities include compilation of data related to journal entry processing, reconciliations and analysis that support creation of the financial statements and management reports. The Senior Accountant also supports and participates in system implementations and financial audits. This position requires collaboration with others within and outside of the Finance organization.

Responsible for timely input in producing the monthly financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for review by upper-level management. Prepare additional reports as required, quarterly and at year-end.

Perform complex reconciliations of various general ledger accounts. Investigate and resolve reconciling items, working with the appropriate

Prepare monthly journal entries as required.

Document and maintain accounting procedures related to areas of responsibility.

Identify and recommend enhancements to financial systems and collaborate with Information Technology staff to effect necessary changes through automation.

Prepare balance sheet fluctuation analyses.

Provide financial information and supporting documentation as requested.

Assist clients, auditors and other departments within the company by preparing analytical schedules and responding to their inquiries.

Participate in departmental projects and other duties as assigned and necessary.

Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the job function.

Experience and Skills:

Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
-
Proficiency with large scale enterprise systems and mastery of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel)

NetSuite experience preferred

Experience with ERP system implementations a plus

Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to achieve business relationships across multiple constituencies

Results Oriented: Demonstrates ownership of assigned accountabilities and accomplishes associated outcomes on-time in a repeatable and sustainable manner

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

CA/CPA or MBA preferred

Minimum 5+ years progressive accounting experience

Combination of Public and Private accounting and audit experience preferred
