Desk Coordinator & Linen Incharge

Job Summary

The Desk Coordinator & Linen Incharge is responsible for overseeing both the Housekeeping Desk operations and Linen Room functions. This role ensures the efficient coordination of daily housekeeping activities, seamless communication between departments, timely handling of guest requests, accurate room status updates in the Property Management System, and effective management of the hotel's linen and uniform inventory. The position plays a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency, inventory control, and high standards of housekeeping service.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily housekeeping operations from the housekeeping desk, including staff scheduling, room assignments, and updating room status in IDS.
Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, Security, and other departments to ensure smooth operations, timely room readiness, maintenance follow-up, and prompt handling of guest requests.
Maintain housekeeping records, attendance, logbooks, daily operational reports, and departmental documentation while providing administrative support to the Executive Housekeeper.
Manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and distribution of hotel linen and employee uniforms, ensuring adequate stock levels for all operational departments.
Maintain accurate linen and uniform inventory records, conduct regular stock verification, monitor par stock levels, and implement effective inventory control measures to minimize losses.
Coordinate with the laundry team to ensure the timely processing, quality inspection, and availability of clean linen and uniforms, while maintaining discard and replacement records.
Ensure the efficient operation of both the housekeeping desk and linen room by maintaining cleanliness, organization, hygiene standards, and compliance with hotel policies and SOPs.
Support the training and guidance of housekeeping team members, promote operational efficiency, and perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hotel Management preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Housekeeping operations, including housekeeping desk coordination and linen room management.
Working knowledge of IDS.
Good communication, organizational, and inventory management skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
