Job Description
Statcon Electronics India Limited is seeking a Research & Development Engineer – Power Electronics to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will have 01–04 years of experience in Testing, along with a strong understanding of Power Electronics, hardware design principles, and converter topologies.
The role will involve testing, debugging, validation, and performance evaluation of advanced Power Electronics products, while working closely with the Design and R&D teams. This position is ideal for candidates looking to build a hands-on career in Power Electronics R&D, Testing, and Product Development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing, debugging, and validation of advanced Power Electronics products and systems.
- Conduct functional and performance testing of power electronic circuits and hardware.
- Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, electronic loads, and other testing instruments for product evaluation and troubleshooting.
- Understand and analyze the working principles of Power Electronics hardware and circuits.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Power Electronics topologies such as Buck, Boost, Flyback, Forward, Half-Bridge, and Full-Bridge converters.
- Read and understand circuit diagrams, schematics, and hardware design documents.
- Identify hardware faults, analyze failures, and support troubleshooting and debugging activities.
- Perform testing of analog and digital control circuits, power stages, and associated hardware.
- Support R&D Engineers in product development, validation, modification, and performance improvement activities.
- Carry out prototype testing, burn-in testing, and final validation of developed products.
- Document test results, observations, failures, and corrective actions accurately.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, and Quality teams to resolve product and testing-related issues.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, ESD, and quality procedures during testing and development activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or B.Tech in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 01–04 years of experience in Testing, preferably in Power Electronics, Electronics, or related industries.
- Candidates with experience in Power Electronics Testing and exposure to Hardware Design, Converter Topologies, Circuit Debugging, and Product Validation will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting electronic hardware is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Power Electronics fundamentals and converter topologies.
- Knowledge of the working principles of Power Electronics hardware and basic hardware design concepts.
- Good understanding of analog and digital electronics.
- Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and other electronic testing instruments.
- Knowledge of active and passive electronic components and their applications.
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, schematics, and technical documents.
- Good analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of control circuits and power semiconductor devices.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Willingness to work hands-on with laboratory equipment, prototypes, and Power Electronics products.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
