Business Development Manager - Key Accounts & Government Sales

Bassline AV Technologies | Gurugram | Full-Time | Senior Sales

Bassline AV Technologies is an Audio-Visual Consultant and end-to-end System Integrator. As a user-centric brand, we bridge design, technology, and execution to create high-performance environments, driven by engineering expertise, transparency, integrity, and long-term partnerships.

What This Role Is About

Bassline is scaling its government and institutional business, and needs a senior sales professional who can both open new government accounts and hold key relationships long-term. This role combines two mandates: winning new government and institutional business through tenders and direct outreach, and owning a portfolio of key accounts to drive retention and expansion. You will report directly to the Sales Head.

What You'll Own

Government & Institutional Business Development

Identify, pursue, and close opportunities across government bodies, PSUs, defence establishments, smart city projects, and institutional clients. Track tenders and RFPs on GeM, CPPP, and state portals, and coordinate with the technical team to submit compliant, competitive bids.

Key Account Ownership & Expansion

Own a portfolio of Bassline's highest-value accounts. Drive expansion revenue through cross-selling, upgrades, and timely AMC renewals. Build relationships at multiple levels within each client organisation so continuity survives individual role changes.

Relationship Building & Proactive Outreach

Develop relationships with decision-makers, department heads, project officers, consultants, and PMCs well before opportunities are public. This is not a passive or purely relationship-management role; sustained outreach and cold calling are core to it.

Revenue & Pipeline Ownership

Own a monthly sales target of ₹50 lakhs or more. Maintain a live, structured pipeline with clear timelines, deal stages, and revenue projections, and report on it consistently.

Team & People Management

Bring prior experience managing a sales team or function. As Bassline's government business grows, this role will build out and lead a small team under it.

What We're Looking For

5 to 10 years of experience in B2G / institutional sales, business development, or key account management
Mandatory: experience in project-based sales; OEM sales background required, in addition to direct project-selling experience
Candidates with strong high-end automotive sales experience will also be considered, provided they show a genuine ability to move into project and OEM-style selling
Prior managerial or team-lead experience in a sales function is required
Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver ₹50 lakhs+ in monthly sales
Familiarity with government procurement; GeM portal, tender documentation, L1 bidding, and compliance requirements
Strong cold calling, outreach, and relationship-building skills across government and enterprise stakeholders
Graduate mandatory; MBA in Sales, Business Strategy, or equivalent strongly preferred

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
