Job Title: MEP - Design Manager
Industry: Luxury Villa Real Estate
Location: Dadar, Mumbai

Overview:

As an MEP Design Manager at our esteemed luxury villa real estate development firm, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our architectural visions to life.
This position requires robust technical knowledge, innovative design thinking, and exceptional communication skills.
Your primary focus will be to ensure that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems are meticulously designed and integrated, adhering to industry regulations while enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of our luxury residential projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
A minimum of 5+ years of comprehensive experience in MEP design (all rounder MEP design experience) and project management, specifically within the luxury villa, high-end residential, or hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership: Drive the comprehensive development and innovative design of MEP systems, ensuring strict compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Coordination: Collaborate effectively with architects, structural engineers, and other key stakeholders to create a seamless integration of building design that marries functional MEP systems with aesthetic elegance.
Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, influencing team decisions and shaping design methodologies.
Plan Review: Conduct thorough reviews and approvals of MEP drawings and specifications, assuring accuracy and adherence to relevant codes and regulations.
Cost and Schedule Management: Oversee budgets and timelines pertinent to MEP design and execution, ensuring financial responsibility while meeting project deadlines.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential design conflicts and compliance risks, addressing issues promptly to uphold project integrity and schedule.
Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior engineers and drafters, fostering a professional development environment through guidance and task delegation.
Communication: Maintain transparent communication channels with clients, team members, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, simplifying complex technical information for varied audiences.
BIM Implementation: Leverage Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to enhance design precision, coordinate efforts, and offer superior project visualization.
Compliance: Guarantee that all MEP designs meet legal, regulatory, and safety standards, adhering to best practices within the industry.

Required Skills:

Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD (must), Revit MEP, ETAP, Dialux, HAP, and Excel
Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design principles.
Leadership and Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, adept at guiding teams and conveying ideas to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Problem Solving Abilities: Strong capability in identifying, analysing, and resolving intricate technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
Organizational Skills: Outstanding organizational and time management skills to effectively balance multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

Leadership & Delegation: Inspire and empower junior engineers and drafters, emphasizing mentorship and clear communication of expectations.
