Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Energy Domain Consultant with 3–5 years of experience in testing Android and iOS applications. You will be responsible for ensuring our mobile applications deliver a seamless, secure, and reliable experience to our users (both business owner and consumers). Experience in utility or b2c, b2b apps just like (Justdial, Indiamart etc.) will be a plus.

Key Responsibilities for Energy Domain Advisor:

Perform manual and automated testing of Android and iOS mobile applications.
Develop roadmaps for smart grid, AMI, and energy efficiency initiatives.
Advise on policy, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation in utilities using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
Support planning and implementation of utility IT systems.
Collaborate closely with developers, UI/UX teams, and product managers for timely delivery.
Engage with clients to assess operational challenges and propose tailored solutions, OS versions, and screen resolutions.
Ensure compliance with Google Play Store and Apple App Store guidelines.
Document test findings and provide regular quality reports to stakeholders.
Participate in release planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field.
3–5 years of proven experience in mobile app testing (both Android & iOS).
Knowledge of power distribution operations, AMI systems, SCADA, GIS, and regulatory frameworks, TestFlight, Firebase Test Lab, BrowserStack, etc.
Strong knowledge of mobile automation frameworks.
Familiarity with REST APIs, Postman, and backend data validations.
Deep understanding of DISCOM operations, renewable integration, and smart grid technologies, or smart meter apps (preferred).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, tech-focused environment.

Nice to Have:

ISTQB Certification or equivalent.
Experience in security testing and data privacy compliance.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise.
Understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel).
