Job Summary
Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of validation engineers, establishing best practices for system‑level and integration validation of Collision Mitigation Systems across embedded platforms.Define and execute validation strategies for safety‑critical collision‑avoidance subsystems , including collision anticipation, threat assessment, object tracking, warning stability, and automatic braking functions.Architect end‑to‑end validation frameworks encompassing Software‑in‑the‑Loop (SIL) , Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) , physics‑based simulation.Design and implement test plans, test cases, and requirements traceability matrices for real‑world collision scenarios, including intersections, curves, parking, stationary obstacles, and multi‑path encounters.Leverage AI‑assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test development, automate reporting, and optimize validation workflows.Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for field issues, validation escapes, and safety‑critical defects, implementing corrective actions and continuous process improvements.Collaborate closely with systems engineering, software, hardware, and product teams to ensure comprehensive validation coverage across all release milestones.Participate in design reviews, FMEA activities, and risk assessments to identify validation gaps early in the development lifecycle.Continuously monitor and adopt emerging validation methodologies , including model‑based testing, simulation‑driven validation, and scenario generation techniques to improve coverage and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. To maintain existing features, troubleshoot bugs , resolve ad-hoc requests and provide support for enhancement (major and minor) /new developments based on business/ client requirements as well as from the functional and technical team of HCL on the project.
2. To provide client support by presenting data, information, ticket resolution and day to day support activities like monitoring client requirements as well as keeping track of schedule for on time delivery of assigned tasks as per the defined quality standards.
3. To perform activities related to enhancement creation of documents for CMMi and client requirements
4. To provide technical guidance to junior developers
5. To interact with the customer and internal teams to gather requirements for development purposes.
Skill Requirements
Required Skills & Experience3 + years of experience in system validation or verification of embedded or autonomous systems , including lead experience managing validation teams or programs.Hardware exposure, including embedded controllers, CAN bus, J1939 , Ethernet‑based sensor interfaces, and integration of radar, camera, and IMU sensors.Strong expertise in validation planning, test design, and requirements‑based testing for safety‑critical systems.Proven capability to design and implement validation frameworks spanning unit, integration, system, and acceptance levels.Hands‑on experience with HIL/SIL environments , physics‑based simulation tools, and sensor simulation for scenario‑driven validation.Intermediate to Strong skills in Python for test automation, log analysis, and validation tooling (e.g., PyTest, unittest).Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps for automated test execution and reporting.Proficiency with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab) and defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla).Strong exposure in recent technologies within Validation space including docker, k8n and monitoring service using n8n platform.Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making capabilities.Excellent communication, leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
