Project Manager – Civil Engineer
Location - Andheri (Marol) - Mumbai
As the Project Manager – Civil Engineer, you will own the end-to-end execution of Organisation’s civil and infrastructure projects. You will manage project planning, contractor onboarding, site supervision, quality, safety, budgets, timelines, procurement coordination, and final handover. This is a high-accountability, field oriented role where success is measured by timely delivery, cost control, construction quality, contractor performance, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage civil and infrastructure projects from initiation through final handover.
- Prepare project schedules, execution plans, milestone trackers, budgets, and progress dashboards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure work is completed according to approved drawings, BOQs, specifications, and timelines.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, consultants, procurement, finance, and internal teams.
- Onboard contractors, define execution expectations, review performance, and hold vendors accountable for delays or quality gaps.
- Monitor project costs, validate bills and measurements, control budget deviations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate material requirements and ensure procurement and deliveries align with the construction schedule.
- Enforce construction quality, safety standards, statutory requirements, and site documentation.
- Identify project risks, execution bottlenecks, and dependencies, and resolve issues within agreed timelines.
- Submit accurate weekly progress reports covering milestones, costs, risks, quality, safety, and required decisions.
- Manage snag resolution, completion checks, documentation, and defect-free project handover.
Mandatory Qualifications & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
- 5–10 years of experience in civil construction, infrastructure, institutional, or commercial projects.
- Hands-on experience managing contractors, vendors, site teams, construction schedules, and project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of construction planning, BOQ interpretation, cost estimation, billing, quantity verification, and quality control.
- Working knowledge of safety compliance, site documentation, measurement records, and project handover processes.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, stakeholder coordination, and contractor-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sites or projects under strict timelines and execution pressure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for project tracking and cost analysis.
- Willingness to travel frequently and maintain a strong on-site presence.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Experience managing projects valued between ₹1 crore and ₹20 crore.
- Experience in school infrastructure, education facilities, institutional buildings, real estate, or social-impact projects.
- Prior career progression from Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer to Project Manager.
- Familiarity with MS Project, Primavera, or similar project-planning tools.
- Knowledge of tendering, contractor evaluation, rate analysis, procurement coordination, and vendor development.
- Experience establishing project dashboards, contractor scorecards, quality checklists, and risk registers.
- Strong ownership, attention to detail, execution discipline, and the ability to anticipate delays before they affect delivery.
Pay: Up to ₹550,000.00 per year
