Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in Node.js and Python. The ideal candidate must be capable of designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems, APIs, and microservices for high-volume fintech operations. You will work closely with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to build secure, scalable, and high-performance platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python
- Build and optimize RESTful & microservice-based APIs
- Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance fintech solutions
- Implement data structures, queues, and caching (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Work with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability
- Implement best practices for coding, security, testing, and documentation
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features on time
- Ensure compliance with fintech-specific security and data standards
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and Python
- Experience with Express.js / Fastify, Django / Flask (optional but preferred)
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and application architecture
- Experience with MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with Redis, message queues, background jobs
- Familiarity with API authentication (JWT, OAuth), encryption, and security standards
- Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker
- Experience working in fintech, payments, or banking integrations is an advantage
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
