Through CBS Hub – we work directly with ICSE, CBSE, IB, and IGCSE schools to supply textbooks, learning kits, stationery, and reference materials, backed by a strong procurement, supply chain, and service network. We are looking for driven, field-ready Sales & Marketing Trainees to grow our presence across school territories.

Position Summary

The Sales & Marketing Trainee will undergo a structured, field-based training program focused on education business K12 segment the full order-to-delivery sales cycle, and work towards defined performance milestones linked to your confirmation appraisal.

Key Responsibilities

1. Territory & Account Management

Map and maintain a database of ICSE, CBSE, IB, and IGCSE schools within the assigned territory.

Conduct regular field visits to schools — connect with purchase officers, school heads, and academic coordinators.

Build and manage a portfolio of 30–60 school accounts under the guidance of the Sales Executive.

Identify and onboard new school accounts to grow the customer base in the territory.

2. Sales & Order Fulfilment

Present CBS Hub's product catalogue — textbooks, kits, stationery, and reference materials — to prospective schools.

Generate enquiries, follow up on leads, and support conversion of prospects to active customers.

Coordinate with the procurement and supply chain teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders.

Track and follow up on pending orders, dispatches, and payments in coordination with the finance team.

3. Relationship Management

Build long-term, trust-based relationships with school decision-makers and influencers.

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned school accounts for all order and service queries.

Address and resolve customer concerns promptly in coordination with operations and logistics teams.

Gather market intelligence — competitor activity, pricing, new school openings, and curriculum changes.

4. Reporting & CRM

Maintain accurate daily visit reports and activity logs in the CRM system.

Submit weekly pipeline reports, visit summaries, and conversion trackers to the reporting manager.

Track monthly sales targets and highlight risks or shortfalls proactively.

Participate in weekly sales review calls and monthly performance discussions.

5. Learning & Development (Training Period)

Attend all scheduled training sessions — product knowledge, market orientation, and sales technique workshops.

Shadow senior executives on client visits in the first month to observe best practices.

Complete all assigned learning modules within the CBS Hub onboarding curriculum.

Work towards a defined set of performance milestones linked to the confirmation appraisal.

Role Requirement

PG Qualification: MBA / PGDM with specialization in Marketing / Sales (preferred).

UG Qualification: Any graduate; degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Education-related fields is a plus.

Good academic record, with willingness to work in a field-intensive, target-driven role.

Own two-wheeler and valid driving license preferred, given the extensive local travel involved.

Desired Personal Attributes

Strong communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable engaging school principals, coordinators, and purchase officers.

Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable with field sales and daily travel within the territory.

Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace; quick to adopt CRM and reporting tools.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for order tracking, follow-ups, and reporting.

Resilient and adaptable — willing to learn through shadowing, feedback, and on-the-job coaching.

A genuine interest in books, education, and the school ecosystem.
