Job Description:
We are looking for a presentable, confident, and guest-focused Hostess / Guest Relations Executive for a concept bar & restaurant located at Balewadi Highstreet, Pune. The candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, handling walk-ins, coordinating table allocation, maintaining guest relations, and ensuring a warm first impression for every guest.
The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, a pleasant personality, basic hospitality knowledge, and the ability to handle guest flow smoothly during busy evenings, weekends, and high-footfall bar operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and create a positive first impression at the entrance.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and table allocation.
- Coordinate with the Restaurant Manager, Captains, and service team for smooth seating and guest flow.
- Handle guest inquiries over calls, WhatsApp, and in person.
- Maintain reservation records, guest preferences, birthday/anniversary details, and VIP guest notes.
- Escort guests to their tables and inform the service team about special requests.
- Manage waiting guests politely during peak hours and keep them updated on table availability.
- Support guest engagement, repeat guest recognition, and basic feedback collection.
- Handle basic guest complaints calmly and escalate serious concerns to the manager.
- Maintain entrance area, reservation desk, menus, and guest-facing material in proper order.
- Support promotions, event nights, guest list management, and table reservations for busy evenings.
- Follow grooming, hygiene, uniform, and communication standards at all times.
- Assist with opening and closing duties related to the hostess desk.
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience as Hostess, Guest Relations Executive, Front Desk Executive, Receptionist, or Service Associate in a restaurant, bar, lounge, hotel, club, or hospitality setup preferred.
- Freshers with good communication, grooming, and confidence may also apply.
- Good verbal communication and guest-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of reservations, table management, and customer service preferred.
- Should be presentable, polite, confident, disciplined, and guest-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced bar and restaurant environment.
- Basic computer/POS/reservation system knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, split shifts, and late-night operations.
- Candidate should be currently located in or willing to travel/relocate to Balewadi Highstreet, Pune.
Qualification:
Minimum 12th pass.
Hotel management, aviation, hospitality, or customer service background will be preferred but is not mandatory.
