Job Description – Mathematics Teacher (Primary & Middle School)
We are seeking a passionate, qualified, and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our school. The ideal candidate should have hands-on teaching experience at the Primary and Middle School levels and the ability to make mathematics engaging, understandable, and enjoyable for students.
The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching mathematical concepts, planning and delivering effective lessons, assessing student progress, and creating a positive learning environment that promotes logical thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Instruction
- Teach Mathematics to students at the Primary and Middle School levels according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively, including topics such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, and other age-appropriate concepts.
- Plan and deliver engaging, interactive, and student-centred lessons.
- Use a variety of teaching methods, including visual aids, real-life examples, activities, models, worksheets, and digital learning tools.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the different learning abilities and needs of students.
2. Lesson Planning & Curriculum Implementation
- Prepare well-structured lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
- Organize teaching materials, worksheets, assignments, and classroom activities.
- Set clear and measurable learning objectives for each lesson.
- Ensure timely completion of the prescribed syllabus.
3. Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct regular tests, quizzes, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Identify students' strengths and areas requiring improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their mathematical skills.
4. Student Support & Development
- Help students understand concepts and clear their doubts effectively.
- Provide additional academic support to students who require extra assistance.
- Encourage logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Develop students' confidence and interest in Mathematics.
- Promote the practical application of mathematical concepts in everyday life.
5. Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Ensure students remain attentive, motivated, and actively engaged during lessons.
- Manage classroom activities effectively and encourage respectful behaviour.
6. Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate student progress and academic concerns with parents and school management.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and departmental meetings.
- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to support students' overall academic development.
7. Administrative & School Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate attendance records, assessment records, and student reports.
- Follow school policies, academic procedures, and curriculum guidelines.
- Participate actively in school events, activities, competitions, and other programmes.
- Take up additional responsibilities assigned by the school management when required.
8. Continuous Professional Development
- Stay updated with new teaching methodologies, educational practices, and curriculum developments.
- Participate in workshops, training programmes, seminars, and professional development activities.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is preferred/required, as per school requirements.
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
Experience Required
- Prior hands-on teaching experience in Mathematics at the Primary and/or Middle School level is essential.
- Experience in handling students of different learning abilities and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
- Experience in curriculum planning, lesson preparation, assessment, and classroom management is preferred.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a passionate and experienced Mathematics educator with proven hands-on experience teaching Primary and Middle School students. The candidate should be able to make Mathematics interesting, practical, and easy to understand while creating an engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, logical thinking, and problem-solving.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
