Key Responsibilities:
Technical Sr Consultant (5+ yrs) for enterprise AEP and Real-Time CDP engagements — schema architecture, real-time pipelines, identity resolution, audience activation, Edge Network, and emerging agentic AI workflows. You will be the lead technical authority on client engagements, translating business needs into scalable, governed platform solutions that power personalised experiences and intelligent automation.
1 · AEP Architecture, Schema Design & Data Modelling:
- Architect end-to-end AEP solutions for multi-brand, multi-region deployments — schema design, identity graph, and profile store governance.
- Design and govern XDM schemas (ExperienceEvent, IndividualProfile, B2B, custom) — field groups, identity namespaces, and schema versioning.
- Define normalisation trade-offs, event granularity, and schema reuse across domains.
- Run schema review workshops and enforce governance standards across client data teams.
2 · Real-Time CDP — Audience, Identity & Activation:
- Own RTCDP configuration: merge policies, identity stitching, profile completeness, and cross-device resolution via Adobe Identity Service.
- Build batch, streaming, and edge segmentation (Segment Builder, PQL, Flexible Audiences) aligned to funnel stages.
- Configure RTCDP destinations (paid media, email, cloud storage, CRM, DWH) — meeting freshness SLAs and governance requirements.
- Map lifecycle and behavioural signals to profile attributes powering personalisation, decisioning, and suppression.
3 · Data Ingestion, Pipelines & Source/Destination Connectors:
- Architect batch and streaming ingestion via AEP connectors, HTTP Streaming API, and SDK sources — with monitoring and error handling at scale.
- Configure source and destination connectors across CRM, analytics, cloud storage, advertising, and warehousing.
- Build event-driven streaming pipelines with Streaming Ingestion Service, Web SDK, and Mobile SDK — with full pipeline observability.
4 · Edge Network & Real-Time Data Collection:
- Implement Edge Network: datastream setup, consent enforcement, edge personalisation, and geolocation-aware routing.
- Deploy Web SDK (Alloy.js) and Mobile SDK via AEP Data Collection — tag extensions, event forwarding, and server-side tagging.
- Use Edge Network Server API for sub-100ms server-to-server activation.
5 · Data Distiller, Query Service & Analytics Engineering:
- Write complex SQL in Query Service and Data Distiller — window functions, CTEs, JSON flattening, multi-dataset joins.
- Build computed attributes and ML-ready feature sets feeding Real-Time Customer Profile.
- Establish data quality frameworks — completeness, freshness, identity monitoring, and ingestion anomaly alerts via Query Service.
6 · Agentic AI — Design, Integration & Governance:
- Apply agentic AI patterns — LLM orchestration, tool-calling, RAG, memory, autonomous decision loops — and advise how AEP/RTCDP underpins them.
- Design AEP pipelines as the real-time context layer for AI agents: profile APIs, edge attribute lookup, and event stream consumption.
- Integrate AEP/RTCDP with agentic platforms and LLM frameworks (Adobe GenStudio, AI Assistant, enterprise agent tooling).
- Apply AEP governance (DULE, consent, access controls) to agentic workflows — keeping AI agents inside privacy and compliance boundaries.
- Evaluate agentic use cases — autonomous campaign optimisation, next-best-action, AI suppression, conversational personalisation — and map to AEP requirements.
- Advise on Adobe AI capabilities: AEP AI Assistant, GenAI journey authoring, and predictive scoring integrated with RTCDP.
7 · Scripting, Automation & API Engineering:
- Automate AEP REST APIs in Python — schema management, dataset operations, segment jobs, and access control.
- Build integrations connecting AEP to CRMs, DWHs, ESPs, and DSPs via REST and Kafka/event streams.
- Use Jupyter in AEP Data Science Workspace for profiling, feature engineering, and model prototyping.
8 · Marketing Funnel, Campaign & Journey Activation:
Translate full-funnel strategy (Awareness Acquisition Engagement Retention
- Loyalty) into AEP architecture, segmentation, and activation.
9 · Client Engagement, Governance & Mentorship:
- Lead discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and sign-offs — producing SDDs, data mapping specs, runbooks, and test plans.
- Drive AEP governance: DULE, consent, privacy workflows, field-level access, and GDPR/CCPA compliance.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the practice's AEP + AI capability building.
- Support pre-sales: RFPs, scoping, estimation, and AEP/RTCDP/agentic AI demos.
Core AEP & Real-Time CDP (Mandatory — 7-10+ Years)
- 5+ yrs hands-on AEP across schema design, ingestion, identity, Real-Time Customer Profile, and RTCDP activation at enterprise scale.
- Mastery of XDM schema design (ExperienceEvent, IndividualProfile, B2B, custom) and data modelling fundamentals.
- Deep RTCDP expertise: merge policies, batch/streaming/edge segmentation, destinations, and activation governance.
- Proven experience with AEP connectors, streaming ingestion, and dataflow management at scale.
- Strong Query Service and Data Distiller — complex SQL, derived datasets, and profile enrichment.
Agentic AI & Emerging Capabilities:
- Working knowledge of agentic AI: LLM orchestration, autonomous agents, tool-calling, RAG, multi-agent coordination, memory/context.
- Able to design AEP architectures as the grounding layer for AI agents — profile APIs, edge attributes, event streams.
- Awareness of responsible AI, explainability, and data governance for agentic and generative deployments.
- Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI) or orchestration frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI) is a plus.
Engineering, Integration & Soft Skills:
- Strong Python (API automation, transformations, pipelines) and SQL (analytical queries, window functions, JSON).
- Solid grasp of streaming APIs, event-driven architectures, Edge Network, Web SDK, and server-side tagging.
- Excellent communicator — able to translate complex technical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with cloud DWHs (Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse, Redshift) in AEP pipeline and activation contexts.
Preferred / Good to Have
- Adobe Campaign (ACC/ACS) — workflow design, delivery, typology rules, and profile-based targeting.
- Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) — journeys, offer decisioning, real-time triggers, and frequency governance.
- Adobe GenStudio or AEP AI Assistant — AI segments, NL query, predictive scoring, generative content workflows.
- Hands-on with LLM/agent frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel) building RAG or agentic pipelines on CDP data.
- Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) — AEP, RTCDP, or Adobe Solution/Architect credential.
- CJA or Adobe Analytics for cross-channel funnel reporting and attribution.
- IAB TCF, CCPA, and GDPR consent management in AEP (consent policies, opt-in/opt-out, DULE).
- ML operationalisation in AEP Data Science Workspace or external MLOps feeding RTCDP attributes.
- Orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory) for multi-step ingestion and activation workflows.
