AI & Machine Learning Intern – Global Payroll Technology Team
Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid)

About the Role
Payroll Technology is building the next generation Global Command Center , a platform that combines payroll operations, automation, analytics, data intelligence, and AI-powered decision support. This aligns with the team's AI & Innovation and Payroll AI capability pillars documented within Payroll Technology.
We are looking for passionate engineering students to join our team as AI & Machine Learning Interns . This internship provides an opportunity to work on real-world AI initiatives, data-driven products, intelligent automation solutions, and next-generation payroll intelligence capabilities used across global payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing and testing AI and Machine Learning models
Support data preparation, cleansing, transformation, and feature engineering activities
Build prototypes for AI-powered business solutions and intelligent automation
Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights
Develop data pipelines and model evaluation processes
Work with APIs, databases, and cloud-based AI services
Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
Participate in model testing, validation, and performance optimization
Research emerging AI technologies and contribute innovative ideas
Document AI solutions, experiments, and findings
Required Skills
Strong understanding of Python programming
Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
Basic understanding of Machine Learning concepts
Familiarity with data analysis using Pandas and NumPy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Understanding of statistics and mathematical fundamentals
Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative environment
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Scikit-learn
Exposure to Generative AI , LLMs , or Prompt Engineering
Knowledge of SQL and databases
Experience with Git and GitHub
Understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
Academic, personal, or hackathon projects involving AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Analytics
