Full job description

Job Profile

The Internal Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounting transactions, ensuring statutory compliance, and preparing financial reports that support management decision-making. The role requires strong expertise in Tally, GST compliance, and financial statement preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts in Tally.
Record and reconcile all financial transactions.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Monitor cash and fund movements.

Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss Statements.
Prepare Balance Sheets and Cash Flow Statements.
Generate MIS reports and financial dashboards for management review.
Analyze financial performance and highlight key variances.

GST & Statutory Compliance

Prepare and file GST returns accurately and within deadlines.
Reconcile GST input and output tax records.
Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and taxation regulations.

Budgeting & Cash Flow Management

Track organizational expenses and revenue.
Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
Support management in budgeting and financial planning activities.

Audit & Controls

Maintain supporting documentation for all transactions.
Assist in internal and external audits.
Ensure proper financial controls and record management.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP.
Hands-on experience in GST filing and compliance.
Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience in preparing Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
