Vishal Technopower Pvt. Ltd. is an Electrical & Renewable Energy EPC organization executing projects across India in electrical infrastructure, HT/LT systems, substations, industrial electrification, solar power, EV charging infrastructure, illumination and allied engineering works. Our project teams work closely with clients, contractors, vendors and internal departments to deliver projects safely, technically correctly and on schedule.
Role Overview:
The Electrical Project Engineer will be the resident execution engineer at the assigned project site and will be responsible for day-to-day onsite execution, customer coordination, contractor and manpower management, material availability, quality, safety, measurements and site documentation. The engineer must be willing to travel and stay at project locations anywhere in India and execute the project plan issued by the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Execution & Planning: Execute electrical / solar works as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, quality requirements and the plan issued by the Project Manager; monitor daily progress and use available resources effectively.
- Client & Work-Front Coordination: Coordinate with the customer/site team every day, obtain clear work fronts, resolve execution hindrances and ensure pending decisions or constraints are escalated with actionable feedback.
- Problem & Hindrance Resolution: Proactively solve onsite execution issues, maintain the hindrance register and coordinate with internal teams or the client for timely closure of constraints.
- Contractor & Labour Management: Manage contractors, subcontractors and site manpower; arrange local contractors/labour when required; monitor productivity, attendance, workmanship and contractor deliverables.
- Contractor Billing & Payments: Verify contractor quantities/work completion, support measurement and certification, and coordinate contractor payment documentation as per approved terms and actual progress.
- Quality & Technical Compliance: Ensure work is technically correct and executed as per drawings, specifications, approved makes, method statements and applicable project requirements. Identify and correct workmanship deviations.
- HSE / Safety Compliance: Ensure personal, contractor and labour compliance with project HSE/safety requirements, PPE, permits and site rules; immediately report unsafe conditions and support corrective action.
- Material & Local Procurement: Plan site material requirements, raise timely requirements to the office, arrange approved local purchases where authorized, control material receipt/issue and prevent work stoppage due to avoidable shortages.
- Measurements & Client Billing: Prepare/check measurements, quantity records and supporting documents; coordinate with the client for measurement acceptance, certification and signing of bills/measurement sheets.
- Site Documentation: Maintain project files and registers including material, labour, hindrance, measurement/IPF and other project-specific records; maintain traceable correspondence and supporting documents.
- Reporting & Coordination: Report to the Project Manager and provide accurate daily/weekly progress, material, manpower, hindrance and requirement updates. Coordinate with Procurement, Design/Engineering, Accounts, Billing and other office teams for timely action.
Technical & Functional Competencies:
- Electrical EPC: Practical knowledge of LT/HT electrical works, cables, panels/switchgear, transformers, earthing, lighting and associated installation activities; solar EPC exposure is an advantage.
- BOQ / BOM / Balance of Supply: Comfortable reading BOQs, BOMs, drawings, quantities and balance-of-supply/material status for planning and execution.
- Measurement & Billing: Strong numerical ability, percentages and quantity calculations for measurements, contractor bills and client billing support.
- Digital Working: Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Google Sheets/Drive and professional email communication.
- Communication: Good written and verbal English/Hindi with the confidence to deal professionally with clients, contractors, labour and internal teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical EPC / electrical project site execution or a closely related project environment.
- Must be willing to travel, relocate temporarily and stay at project sites anywhere in India as per project requirements.
- Should have handled onsite execution, client coordination, contractors and manpower rather than only office-based engineering.
- Should be proactive, disciplined and comfortable taking ownership of site problems, timelines and documentation.
- Ability to work under a Project Manager while independently managing day-to-day site activities and priorities.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
