We're building a network of reliable freelance testers who can participate in testing projects as client work becomes available.
The Opportunity
We're looking for people who enjoy exploring Android apps, iOS apps, and web applications and finding problems that developers may have missed.
This is a freelance, project-based opportunity, not a traditional employment position. Testers join the BugFed network and can receive paid testing gigs when suitable client projects become available.
What You'll Do
Depending on the project, you may:
- Test Android and iOS mobile applications
- Test websites and web applications
- Explore features and user flows to identify bugs
- Find crashes, broken functionality, UI issues, and unexpected behavior
- Test apps across different devices, operating systems, and browsers
- Reproduce and document bugs clearly
- Submit screenshots or screen recordings when required
- Test edge cases and unusual user interactions
- Provide feedback on usability and the overall user experience
- Follow project-specific requirements and deadlines
Who We're Looking For
You don't need professional QA experience to apply.
We're interested in people who:
- Enjoy exploring apps and websites
- Naturally notice things that don't work correctly
- Have good attention to detail
- Can clearly describe what went wrong and how to reproduce it
- Are comfortable using Android, iOS, or web applications
- Can follow instructions and meet deadlines
- Are reliable and communicate clearly
Previous experience in QA, software testing, app development, cybersecurity, or bug reporting is a plus, but not required.
How BugFed Works
1. Apply to join the BugFed tester network.
2. Complete the onboarding and evaluation process.
3. When a suitable client project becomes available, eligible testers may be invited to participate.
4. Choose projects that match your availability and capabilities.
5. Test the assigned app or website and submit your findings.
6. Get paid according to the terms of the individual project.
Please note: Joining the BugFed tester network does not guarantee immediate or continuous work. Project availability depends on client demand and the requirements of individual projects.
