About the role

We are looking for a writer who can produce content for social media posts and blogs that people actually want to read, and that both Google and AI search engines want to cite. You will own the editorial pipeline for a real estate focused brand: research, outline, draft, optimize, publish. This is a hands-on role for someone who ships consistently and brings their own angles, not someone who waits on a topic list.

What you will do

You own the entire content creation and execution on social media.
Write long-form blogs, guides, market reports, neighborhood spotlights, and buyer or seller resources that are genuinely useful and not generic filler.
Social media execution - Maintaining a calendar across platforms and publishing posts.
Own keyword research, topic clustering, internal linking, and on-page SEO: titles, meta descriptions, headers, schema, alt text, and URL structure.
Apply GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) so our content gets surfaced and cited in AI answers across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. Clear structure, direct answers, citable statistics, entity clarity, and content formatted for extraction.
Repurpose one blog into a full content set: social captions, LinkedIn posts, X threads, email newsletters, video scripts, and carousel copy.
Write scripts and hooks for short-form video in partnership with the designer.
Research and fact-check market data, mortgage trends, local inventory numbers, and regulatory changes. Accuracy matters in this space.
Use AI tools to speed up production: research, outlining, drafting, editing, and repurposing, while keeping a human voice and verifying every claim. We are not looking for someone who pastes AI output.
Work with our designer so copy and visuals ship as one package, not two separate deliverables.
Work closely with the Leadership Team to understand the overall business goals over asking for just specific requirements.
Track performance in Google Search Console, GA4, and rank tracking tools, then refresh and update content based on the numbers.
Able to shuffle between various projects without hesitation.

What we are looking for

2-5 years developing content for brands, agencies, or in-house marketing teams. Real estate experience is preferred. US real estate market experience will add brownie points.
Portfolio of published work with live links, not writing samples created for practice. We want to see pieces that actually ran, and at least one whose performance you can speak to.
Real, current SEO knowledge. You understand search intent, SERP analysis, topical authority, and what changed after recent Google updates.
Working understanding of GEO and how AI search differs from traditional search. If this is new to you but you have started experimenting, tell us what you have learned.
Genuinely good with AI tools. You should be able to name the tools you use, what you use each one for, and where they fall short.
Experience and comfort working with real estate content: listings, market stats, mortgage and rate commentary, neighborhood research, agent branding, and MLS style data. Understanding of fair housing and real estate advertising language is a plus.
Excellent English writing. Clean, specific, and readable. No fluff, no filler intros, no phrases that sound like every other blog on the internet.
Self starter who is fast, organized, and reliable with deadlines.
Comfortable in coordinating with a US based team.

Nice to have

Writing experience in finance, fintech, or PropTech. Comfort with underwriting math, rate commentary, and return modeling shortens the ramp significantly.
You can pull and interpret your own data. Enough spreadsheet skill to build the citable stat rather than borrow someone else's.
Programmatic SEO experience, especially city, neighborhood, or market-page templates at scale. This is one of the biggest unclaimed opportunities in real estate content.
Implementing schema and fixing on-page issues yourself in WordPress or Webflow.
Ghostwriting for founders or executives, particularly on LinkedIn. Leadership visibility is part of how this ecosystem earns trust.
Eager to learn and explore new things.
