Full job description

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting activities .
Ensure accurate recording of purchase, sales, expenses, receipts, payments and journal entries.
Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
Perform regular bank, vendor, customer and ledger reconciliations.
Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities.
Prepare monthly MIS, management reports and variance analysis.
Support preparation and review of financial statements and schedules.
Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS and other applicable statutory requirements.
Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors and internal/external audit teams.
Verify invoices, supporting documents and accounting entries as per company policies.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and coordinate with relevant departments.
Support inventory accounting, stock reconciliation and manufacturing-related accounting.
Assist in fixed asset accounting, depreciation and asset reconciliation.
Ensure proper documentation and adherence to MNC internal controls and SOPs.
Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Sales, Production, HR and Corporate Finance teams.
Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely corrective action.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting and cost-control activities.
Support implementation and improvement of finance processes and controls.
Prepare data and reports required by management and corporate finance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and audit requirements.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of General Accounting, AP, AR and GL Accounting.
Good understanding of GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
Hands-on experience in month-end closing and reconciliations.
Strong MS Excel skills – Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, basic data analysis.
Experience with SAP ERP/accounting software
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and work within deadlines.
MNC/manufacturing exposure will be preferred.

Qualification

B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent qualification.

Experience

5–8 years in accounts
Preference for candidates from MNC, manufacturing, textile, chemical, engineering or other industrial sectors.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Exposure to SAP/ERP-based accounting.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS and audit processes.
Experience in monthly closing and MIS reporting.
Comfortable working with corporate finance teams and international/MNC reporting requirements.
Candidates residing in Ichhapore, Bhatpore, Adajan, Pal, Rander, Sayan, Hazira or nearby Surat areas may be preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Timely and accurate monthly closing.
Accuracy of accounting and reconciliations.
Timely statutory compliance.
Reduction of outstanding reconciliations and open items.
Timely submission of MIS and management reports.
Audit compliance and closure of audit observations.
Adherence to internal controls and company SOPs.

Job Type: Full-time
