Channel Sales Executive – Solar

Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh
Department: Sales & Business Development
Experience: 1–3 Years
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Channel Sales Executive – Solar to develop and manage our channel partner network in the solar industry. The candidate will be responsible for working with distributors, dealers, installers, EPC companies and franchise partners to drive sales of solar products such as rooftop solar systems, solar panels and inverters.

The role will focus on partner development, sales growth, market expansion and relationship management, rather than direct end-customer sales.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner Development & Management

Identify and recruit new channel partners, including installers, EPCs and dealers.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing partners.
Train and support partners on products, pricing and sales strategies.
Regularly engage with channel partners to understand their business requirements.

2. Sales Growth

Drive revenue through the assigned channel partner network.
Set and achieve sales targets.
Monitor partner performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support partners in converting and closing large sales opportunities.

3. Market Expansion

Identify new territories, markets and business opportunities.
Conduct market visits and develop new business relationships.
Monitor competitor activities, product offerings and pricing trends.
Expand the company's presence across the assigned territory.

4. Technical & Product Support

Help channel partners understand solar system sizing, ROI and product specifications.
Provide basic technical support related to solar panels, inverters and rooftop solar systems.
Coordinate with engineering/technical teams whenever required.

5. Scheme & Policy Awareness

Stay updated on government solar schemes and rooftop solar subsidies.
Understand relevant net-metering requirements and DISCOM processes.
Guide channel partners regarding applicable schemes, approvals and customer benefits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in solar sales, channel sales, B2B sales or business development.
Experience in dealing with dealers, distributors, installers or EPC partners will be preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
Knowledge of solar products such as solar panels, inverters and rooftop solar systems.
Basic understanding of solar system sizing, ROI and net metering.
Familiarity with local solar market, regulations and DISCOM processes.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
