Full job description

Only UG and PG in related field will be selected ( B.Lib.I.Sc and M.Lib.I.Sc only )

The Librarian is responsible for managing the collegel library, promoting reading habits among students, maintaining library resources, and providing information services to students and staff. The Librarian ensures that the library remains an organized, accessible, and engaging learning resource center.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the college library.
Organize, catalog, and maintain books, journals, and other library materials.
Issue and receive books and maintain circulation records.
Assist students and faculty in locating and using library resources.
Maintain accession registers, stock registers, and library databases.
Conduct periodic stock verification and prepare library reports.
Ensure proper arrangement, cleanliness, and discipline within the library.
Support the use of digital library resources and library management software.
Coordinate the purchase and renewal of books, journals, and subscriptions as approved by the administration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc.).
Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc.) is desirable.

Skills

Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with library software.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with students and faculty.

Experience

Previous experience in a college or educational institution is preferred.

Pay: ₹10,351.68 - ₹15,000.00 per month
