Assistant Systems Administrator and Automation Engineer

Location: Bestech Business Tower, Mohali (Required to reliably commute or relocate before starting)

Schedule: Day shift
Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹45,000 per month

Job Overview

Susquehanna Management Services is seeking a skilled and proactive Assistant Systems Administrator to oversee and support our IT infrastructure. You will ensure the reliable daily operations, managing users, securing network and maintenance of our computer systems and network servers. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, a background in automation, and hands-on experience with ERP systems.

Core Responsibilities

System & Network Maintenance: Manage the configuration, uptime, and performance of network servers, computer systems, and virtualization infrastructure.
ERP & Workday Management: Utilize and maintain company ERP systems and Workday platforms to support business operations.
Upgrades & Automation: Install hardware components, update software, knowledge of Microsoft 365, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes to increase efficiency.
Issue Troubleshooting: Run diagnostics to resolve hardware/software errors, assess business impact, prioritize tickets, and document resolutions.
IT Infrastructure Planning: Provide technical specifications and clear documentation to the IT team for infrastructure upgrades and deployments.
Data Protection & Recovery: Execute backup operations and maintain robust disaster recovery, data protection, and failover procedures.
Helpdesk Leadership: Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts to resolve workstation and software issues quickly with minimal business disruption.
Resource Planning: Monitor and manage system capacity, storage allocation, and database performance.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, and network configurations

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, System Administration, or a related field (Preferred), or an Associate degree with equivalent experience.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience in system administration, network administration, or database management.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of systems/networking software, hardware components, and core networking protocols.
Virtualization: Working knowledge of VMware or equivalent virtualization platforms.
Automation: Practical experience using scripting and automation tools to streamline IT and other workflows.
Task & Process Automation: Write scripts (PowerShell, Python, VBA, BASH) to automate onboarding, server provisioning, software deployments.
Strategy & Operations: Track record of developing IT plans and implementing helpdesk best practices, security protocols, and storage management.
Communication: Should be well versed with written and verbal communication in English.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

Certifications: IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or Cisco/networking fields are a major plus.
