Full job description

Role Summary

We are looking for a creative and data-driven Social Media Manager to own our brand voice and grow our online community. You will be responsible for developing the social strategy, creating engaging content, analyzing performance metrics, and staying ahead of cultural trends. You are not just a "poster"; you are a storyteller who understands how to convert followers into loyal customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Planning

Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and website traffic.
Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each platform (e.g., Reach, Engagement Rate, Conversion, ROI).
Conduct competitive analysis and audience research to identify new opportunities.
Manage the monthly content calendar, ensuring alignment with product launches, PR campaigns, and seasonal events.

2. Content Creation & Curation

Create, curate, and publish high-quality, on-brand content (graphics, photos, Reels/Shorts, and copy).
Write compelling captions and headlines that drive conversation and action.
Produce short-form video content natively for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts (concept to edit).
Maintain a consistent aesthetic and tone of voice across all channels.

3. Community Management

Actively monitor all social channels for comments, DMs, and mentions.
Foster a positive community by engaging with followers and responding to inquiries in a timely, authentic manner.
Proactively identify and engage with influencers, industry leaders, and user-generated content (UGC).

4. Analytics & Reporting

Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, providing actionable insights for improvement.
Use data to optimize posting times, content formats, and ad spend.
Monitor social listening tools to track brand sentiment and industry trends.

5. Paid Social (Optional/Preferred)

[Optional] Manage and optimize paid social budgets (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads) to support lead generation and sales goals.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
Portfolio: A portfolio or case studies demonstrating growth in engagement and followers.
Writing: Exceptional copywriting and editing skills (grammar and brand voice).
Design: Proficiency with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator).
Video: Experience with in-app editing (TikTok, CapCut) and a strong understanding of video trends.
Analytics: Proficiency with analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Sprout Social/Hootsuite).
Agility: Ability to pivot quickly in response to real-time trends and cultural moments.

Preferred:

Experience in [B2B SaaS, Recruitment, staffing industry, Media, Advertising, Marketing].
Experience with influencer marketing and affiliate partnerships.
Understanding of SEO principles and how social impacts search visibility.

Success Metrics (What we expect in Year 1)

Increase total follower count by 50% across core platforms.
Achieve an engagement rate of 50% or higher.
Increase social-referred traffic to the website by 30%.
Successfully launch [2] new viral campaign series.
