Senior Specialist Customer Service & Support

Key responsibilities

Managing order processing: Reviewing customer orders, ensuring accurate entry into the system, and coordinating with warehouse and shipping teams for timely order fulfillment.
Inventory management: Monitoring inventory levels and alerting relevant teams when stock is low.
Customer service: Updating customers on their order status, including shipping confirmations and delays, and resolving any order-related issues.
Data analysis: Utilizing internal systems (e.g., SAP) to process and modify Purchase Orders efficiently and ensure the accuracy of PO/SO/Material costing.
Clear communication skills and customer facing
The ideal candidate for this role should possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Coordinates sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts. As needed, coordinates planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the organization.
Develops processes and procedures to support the sales process and participates in the development of requirements for sales support systems
Developing professional role with working knowledge in own discipline, solves a range of routine problems, demonstrates some proficiency with concepts and processes analyses possible solutions using standard procedures, receives a moderate level of guidance and direction from more senior level roles
Works to ensure all sales organization objectives are assigned in a timely fashion.
Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
Responsible for customer satisfaction and achievement of sales goals from quote to invoicing, adherence to business models and pricing guidelines.
Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
Implements enabling technologies, including CRM, to field sales teams. Monitors the assigned sales organization’s compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data.
Working with Accounting, Finance, and plant teams in SIG Global network, provides assistance to sales team on an as-needed basis.
To monitor tasks delegated by Commercial team to ensure that the task is achieved to agreed deadlines
Co-ordinating Cross-Functional teams to ensure timely deliverables
Plans and coordinates projects to improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the team
Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.
Anticipate needs and take initiative to solve problems independently with minimal guidance
Establishes and maintains an appropriate internal network for business needs, including but not limited to, Business Units, Sales Operations, and Business Insights.
Review historical sales trends, past events impacting sales, identify demand drivers, make statistical forecasting models, and review forecast results to generate Baseline Forecast for forward 0-24 months
Support master data maintenance, such as ensuring generally realistic durations in standard networks

You bring these skills, experience & education

Minimum Graduate or Post Graduate in any discipline, Specialization in SCM is preferred
Minimum 7+ Years of experiance on specialist or equivalent role.
Office Based job- Not Hybrid- Not Remote
Knowldege of SAP is must.
Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency and under pressure, as needed to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively and efficiently.
Ability to understand customers of India where consumer behavior changes with every state and how that is impacting the demand profile
Managing and resolving conflicts or challenges within the cross functional teams.
Assist and support S&OP team, for example with analysis of product mix trends, forecast accuracy root causes to identify forecast improvements, and lead time trends against assumptions used for the forecasts.
Knowledge of demand planning processes such as baselining, best fit, bias rationalization, outlier correction.
