Full job description

Business Analyst – Information Technology

Department: Information Technology
Experience: 3–10 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role & Responsibilities

Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements.
Gather, analyze, validate, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
Conduct business process analysis, gap analysis, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Recommend technology-driven solutions aligned with business requirements.
Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Use Cases, User Stories, and Process Flows.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops, stakeholder meetings, and discussions.
Translate business requirements into clear and actionable functional specifications for technical teams.
Develop process flows, wireframes, and functional documentation where required.
Maintain requirement traceability and support project planning and delivery.
Review proposed technical solutions to ensure alignment with business and functional requirements.
Develop functional test scenarios and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Validate developed solutions against documented requirements and support defect resolution.
Support software deployment, implementation, and post-go-live activities.
Prepare user manuals and conduct user training and knowledge-transfer sessions.
Gather user feedback and recommend enhancements and improvements.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and promote best practices.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and business analysis practices.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology:
B.E.
B.Tech.
M.E.
M.Tech.
3–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the IT industry.
Experience working on software development, digital transformation, and ERP/CRM projects.
Strong experience in requirement gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
Strong understanding of business process modelling and functional documentation.
Experience working with tools such as:
Microsoft Visio
Jira
Azure DevOps
Confluence
Trello
Similar project management/documentation tools
Basic understanding of databases, APIs, system integrations, and software architecture concepts.
Knowledge of reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI will be an added advantage.
Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with clients, business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
