Full job description

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales growth within the assigned territory by developing new business opportunities, managing existing customers, expanding the dealer/distributor network, and achieving monthly and annual sales targets. The role involves extensive field travel, customer relationship management, market analysis, and coordination with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets assigned by the management.
Develop and execute sales plans to increase market share within the assigned territory.
Identify and appoint new dealers, distributors, contractors, builders, consultants, and institutional customers.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and ensure repeat business.
Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations, and technical demonstrations.
Generate enquiries, follow up on quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales.
Coordinate with the Sales Coordinator for scheduling customer appointments and order processing.
Prepare weekly travel plans and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Collect market intelligence regarding competitors, pricing, new products, and customer requirements.
Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from customers.
Resolve customer complaints by coordinating with production, dispatch, and service teams.
Participate in exhibitions, promotional events, dealer meets, and marketing campaigns.
Ensure accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management.
Maintain customer database and update CRM records regularly.
Travel extensively within the assigned area as required.
2–5 years of experience in field sales, preferably in LED Lighting, Electrical, Solar, or Industrial Products.
Experience in dealer/distributor management and project sales will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
