Role Overview
Carbelim is looking for a responsible, organised, and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Intern to support the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
The selected candidate will assist with financial data entry, invoice preparation, payment tracking, expense management, bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, statutory documentation, and the maintenance of accurate financial records.
This internship is suitable for candidates seeking practical experience in corporate accounting, taxation, finance operations, and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and update daily financial transactions accurately.
- Maintain purchase, sales, payment, receipt, and journal entries.
- Prepare and verify invoices, quotations, purchase orders, and payment documents.
- Maintain records of bills, vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents.
- Update accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Monitor outstanding customer payments and support payment follow-ups.
- Verify vendor invoices and coordinate for missing documents or clarifications.
- Assist with bank statement reconciliation.
- Maintain petty cash and daily expense records.
- Enter and update financial data in Tally Prime, Microsoft Excel, or other accounting software.
- Assist in preparing GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance documents.
- Support the preparation of monthly expense statements and basic financial reports.
- Assist with payroll documentation, employee reimbursements, and attendance-related records when required.
- Coordinate with vendors, customers, banks, auditors, and internal departments for accounts-related documentation.
- Organise and maintain digital and physical financial records.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company financial information.
- Complete assigned finance and accounts tasks within the required timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- B.Com, M.Com, BBA Finance, MBA Finance, or equivalent candidates may apply.
- Fresh graduates and final-year students are eligible to apply.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Basic understanding of GST, TDS, invoicing, and statutory documentation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with Tally Prime or other accounting software is preferred.
- Good numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Practical knowledge of Tally Prime.
- Basic understanding of GST returns and statutory compliance.
- Familiarity with ledger maintenance and bank reconciliation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas and financial spreadsheets.
- Previous internship, academic project, or work experience in finance or accounting.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Tamil.
- Strong documentation and file-management skills.
