Full job description

South City International School is seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our academic team and contribute to a progressive and enriching learning environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging French lessons, ensuring students develops fluency and confidence in the language. The role also involves assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and overall student success.

Roles & Responsibilities

Plan and develop effective French teaching strategies for the Secondary section in alignment with the prescribed curriculum.
Deliver engaging and level-appropriate lessons tailored to different grades.
Teach and communicate in French to enhance students’ listening and speaking skills.
Develop and utilize innovative teaching materials and instructional aids.
Conduct regular assessments, including tests and examinations, to evaluate student progress.
Provide additional support and attention to students requiring extra guidance.
Ensure accurate pronunciation and proper usage of the French language among students.
Organize interactive and innovative classroom sessions to enhance learning outcomes.
Prepare lesson plans in accordance with curriculum guidelines and academic standards.
Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic progress and development.
Organize co-curricular activities, events, and language-based engagements.
Maintain accurate academic records and reports for future reference.
Attend parent-teacher meetings and school events as required.
Stay updated with modern teaching methodologies and continuously research new instructional practices.
Undertake administrative responsibilities as assigned by the school.

Preferred Candidate profile

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in French language/French Literature, or a related field (Mandatory).
Masters' degree in French language/French Literature, or a related field (Preferable)
B.ED - Preferable

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience teaching French to Classes 6–12, preferably in an ICSE/ISC school.

Salary

Negotiable for Suitable candidate

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
