Full job description

Tagore Society for Rural Development (TSRD) is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer & Video Editor to manage and create high-quality visual content for the organisation's digital platforms, campaigns, projects, events, and communication initiatives.

The candidate will be responsible for developing creative concepts and producing engaging graphics, social media creatives, videos, reels, presentations, infographics, promotional materials, and campaign content from concept to final execution.

The role requires strong expertise in graphic design and video editing, along with a good understanding of visual storytelling and digital content trends. The candidate will work closely with the communications, digital marketing, project, and management teams to translate ideas and project requirements into impactful visual communication.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, CorelDRAW, InDesign, Canva, or equivalent software. Experience in motion graphics, animation, colour correction, typography, branding, social media content creation, and short-form video production will be highly valued.

The candidate should be creative, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of handling multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines. Experience in an NGO, CSR organisation, development sector, media house, or creative agency will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design

Lead the design and visual communication requirements of TSRD.
Create high-quality creatives for social media, websites, campaigns, events, reports, presentations, and publications.
Design posters, banners, brochures, infographics, presentations, newsletters, certificates, and other communication materials.
Develop campaign concepts and creative visual directions.
Maintain consistency with TSRD's brand identity and communication guidelines.
Adapt designs into multiple formats and dimensions for different platforms.
Review and improve creative outputs produced by junior team members or external resources.

Video Editing & Content Creation

Edit videos for social media, YouTube, websites, campaigns, events, and project communications.
Create short-form content such as Reels, Shorts, promotional videos, campaign videos, interviews, and awareness videos.
Develop engaging video narratives from raw footage, photographs, graphics, voiceovers, and music.
Add titles, subtitles, transitions, sound effects, animations, and other post-production elements.
Create basic motion graphics and animated visual content where required.
Ensure videos are optimised for different digital platforms and formats.
Handle video editing from raw footage through final delivery.

Creative & Team Responsibilities

Understand creative briefs and translate ideas into effective visual communication.
Work with content writers, digital marketers, project teams, photographers, and other stakeholders.
Contribute creative ideas for TSRD's social-impact campaigns and development initiatives.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines.
Stay updated with current graphic design, video, social media, and content trends.
Maintain organised libraries of design files, footage, graphics, templates, and other creative assets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, Animation, Film & Video Editing, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.
3–5 years of relevant professional experience in graphic design and video editing.
Strong portfolio demonstrating both graphic design and video editing capabilities.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Knowledge of CorelDRAW, InDesign, Canva, or similar tools will be an advantage.
Good understanding of typography, layout, colour, composition, branding, and visual storytelling.
Strong understanding of video composition, pacing, transitions, audio, colour correction, and basic motion graphics.
Experience creating content specifically for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver projects within deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience with motion graphics and animation.
Basic knowledge of photography and videography.
Experience with social media content production.
Knowledge of AI-assisted creative tools for design and video production will be an advantage.
Experience working with an NGO, CSR organisation, development organisation, social enterprise, media house, or creative agency will be an advantage.
Ability to develop creative concepts and campaign visual identities.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
