Job Summary

The EHS Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices across project sites to ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and statutory regulations. The role focuses on preventing workplace accidents, promoting a strong safety culture, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring environmental compliance. The EHS Officer works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to maintain a safe and healthy work environment while supporting successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and statutory compliance across project sites.
Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
Perform risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and ensure Permit to Work (PTW) compliance for high-risk activities.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training for employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety standards on site.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare reports, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor work at height, hot work, lifting operations, confined space entry, excavation, and electrical safety activities.
Maintain EHS documentation, statutory records, inspection reports, incident registers, and compliance reports.
Coordinate emergency response plans, fire safety inspections, first aid arrangements, and mock drills.
Ensure proper environmental practices, including waste management, pollution control, and housekeeping.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities on EHS-related matters.
Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & ExperienceEducation

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) or an equivalent Diploma/Certification in Environment, Health & Safety is mandatory.
NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or OSHA certification will be an added advantage.

Experience

3–5 years of relevant EHS experience.
Experience in construction, commercial interior fit-out, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
Experience in implementing EHS management systems, statutory compliance, and safety audits.
