You are a well-rounded software professional with at least 15 years of experience designing, developing, deploying and monitoring enterprise applications. You are skilled in building software applications using the modern technologies including Java, Spring and related technologies. You have an additional responsibility to lead the implementation and support engineering manager in day-to-day operations of the team. You have a successful track record that demonstrates your ability to work in teams and deliver projects on time in a dynamic and agile environment.
Responsibilities

Define, own, and execute the enterprise platform architecture strategy, ensuring complete alignment between long-term business goals and technology roadmaps.

Create, manage, and govern all service blueprints within the designated technical domain to serve as the single source of truth for engineering teams.

Establish and enforce architecture standards, best practices, governance frameworks, and design principles across all engineering verticals.

Lead architecture reviews, perform rigorous technology evaluations, and provide formal solution design approvals to ensure enterprise alignment.

Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to make critical technical decisions, ensuring they are documented transparently for long-term auditability and traceability.

Guarantee the consistent delivery of highly scalable, available, and resilient solutions by mandating the use of enterprise architecture patterns and frameworks.

Lead large-scale application modernization initiatives, with a primary focus on driving monolithic-to-microservices transformations.

Architect secure, distributed, and highly available cloud-native solutions leveraging modern technologies, specifically Java, Angular, and Microservices.

Design and oversee the implementation of sophisticated API-first, event-driven, and distributed system architectures across the enterprise.

Author architecture-driven investment roadmaps for the domain, partnering with Enterprise Architecture to build business cases and justify funding priorities.

Partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering leads to translate complex business requirements into tangible technical execution.

Drive public cloud adoption (AWS, Azure, or GCP), infrastructure optimization, and overall platform scalability in collaboration with infrastructure, network, and operations teams.

Define enterprise-wide CI/CD, DevSecOps automation, comprehensive observability, and site reliability engineering (SRE) strategies to ensure security and compliance throughout the lifecycle.

Lead critical technical decisions and risk assessments while mentoring domain architects and senior engineers to foster a culture of engineering excellence and continuous innovation.
Knowledge and Skills – Required

This is an individual contributor role and you are expected to code for at least 50% of the time.

Solid understanding of the modern application patterns & deployment methods.
-
Minimum of 15 years of Strong Experience in Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture and Design, and hands on Technical skills (Java, data base designs) with the ability to guide developers for the optimal solution around technical challenges.

Should have experience on Java, Spring (ORM, Security, MVC, AOP).

Should have experience with cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform etc.)

Should have experience on Experience on data intensive applications built with SQL/NoSQL DBs and designed data schema.
-
Experience on building microservices based application integrations using REST and API gateways.
-
Should have experience on Relational Database (SQL, PL/SQL) and NoSQL like Cassandra, Apache Ignite, Neo4j or Elasticsearch.

Good to have Helm charts, Github actions

Should have knowledge of Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CD/CI) using Git and Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

Delivery using modern methodologies especially SAFe Agile, Iterative

Excellent analytical skills applied in a practical environment. Well organized, disciplined approach to work with a high level of attention to detail

Strong work ethics with high level of self-motivation

Experience in working in large cross functional projects and product development. Strong ability to navigate across teams to resolve challenges.
