We are is looking for an experienced, energetic and highly professional Gym Manager to lead the fitness operations and create an exceptional training experience for our members.
This is an opportunity for a fitness professional who understands that a luxury gym is about much more than equipment and workouts. It is about personalized service, expert guidance, attention to detail, member relationships and creating an environment where every member feels valued and supported.
The ideal candidate will combine strong fitness knowledge with operational leadership, commercial awareness and luxury hospitality standards.
As Gym Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the fitness facility, ensuring the highest standards of service, safety, cleanliness, equipment, programming and member experience.
You will lead the fitness team, develop engaging programs and work closely with the wider organization team to integrate fitness into the Club’s overall lifestyle and wellness offering.
1. Gym Operations & Standards
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the gym and fitness facilities
- Ensure the gym is maintained to impeccable standards of cleanliness, presentation and functionality
- Monitor equipment condition, maintenance and servicing requirements
- Ensure all operational and safety procedures are consistently followed
- Develop and maintain SOPs and service standards for the fitness department
- Manage gym schedules, operating requirements and daily operational activities
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless member experience
2. Member Experience
- Build strong relationships with members and understand their individual fitness goals and preferences
- Deliver a personalized and professional fitness experience to members and guests
- Ensure members receive appropriate guidance and support throughout their fitness journey
- Handle member feedback, requests and concerns with professionalism and discretion
- Identify opportunities to improve member engagement and satisfaction
- Maintain confidentiality regarding member information and personal preferences
3. Fitness Programs & Experiences
- Develop and oversee a diverse calendar of fitness programs, classes and member experiences
- Introduce innovative training concepts and emerging fitness trends relevant to a luxury clientele
- Coordinate personal training, group training and specialized fitness sessions
- Develop fitness challenges, workshops and exclusive member activations
- Work with external trainers, specialists and fitness partners where required
- Collaborate with the Wellness team to create an integrated fitness and wellbeing experience
4. Team Leadership
- Lead, manage and motivate personal trainers, fitness instructors and gym staff
- Establish clear performance and service standards for the team
- Conduct regular briefings, coaching and training sessions
- Monitor trainer performance, member feedback and service quality
- Ensure all team members maintain excellent grooming, communication and professional conduct
- Manage staff schedules and ensure appropriate operational coverage
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork and exceptional member service
5. Member Engagement & Retention
- Proactively engage with members and encourage consistent participation
- Monitor member usage, engagement and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop initiatives that encourage member retention and long-term engagement
- Support personalized fitness journeys for high-value and discerning members
- Organize fitness events, challenges and community-building activities
6. Commercial Performance
- Identify opportunities to increase participation in personal training, classes and fitness programs
- Support the development of new fitness services and revenue-generating initiatives
- Explore partnerships with premium fitness, sports, recovery and lifestyle brands
- Monitor departmental performance and provide regular reports to management
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and cost-control initiatives
- Track key fitness and member engagement metrics and recommend improvements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- 5+ years of experience in gym, fitness, health club or luxury hospitality environments
- Previous experience as a Gym Manager, Fitness Manager, Health Club Manager or similar leadership position
- Strong knowledge of fitness operations, personal training and group exercise
- Proven experience managing and developing fitness teams
- Experience working with HNI/UHNI, VIP or discerning clientele will be highly valued
- Strong understanding of premium and luxury fitness experiences
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commercial and business-development awareness
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- High emotional intelligence, maturity and discretion
- Ability to work confidently with senior and high-profile members
- Professional appearance, impeccable grooming and strong service etiquette
- Excellent spoken and written English
