Job Summary
SPD Constructions Ltd. is looking for an experienced Tower In-Charge / Construction Manager to lead and manage the complete construction activities of one or more towers within a high-rise building project.
The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end tower execution, including structural, MIVAN/formwork, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, finishing, MEP coordination, manpower management, subcontractor coordination, quality, safety, productivity, and timely completion.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in high-rise residential/commercial construction and proven ability to manage large teams and multiple construction activities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Tower Construction & Project Execution
- Take overall responsibility for the end-to-end construction and execution of the assigned tower(s).
- Plan, supervise, and monitor construction activities from foundation/structural stages through finishing and handover.
- Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Develop and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly construction targets in coordination with the Project Manager and Planning team.
- Ensure timely achievement of floor cycle targets and major project milestones.
- Monitor structural activities including MIVAN/ aluminium shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, shear walls, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, and other structural elements.
- Coordinate subsequent activities including masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, tiling, painting, false ceiling, doors/windows, and other finishing works.
- Ensure proper sequencing of construction activities to maximize productivity and minimize delays and rework.
MIVAN/Formwork & Structural Works
- Oversee MIVAN/aluminium formwork operations, including panel erection, alignment, level, plumb, supports, dismantling, cleaning, shifting, and re-erection.
- Monitor reinforcement activities including cutting, bending, fixing, lapping, couplers, cover, spacing, and BBS compliance.
- Coordinate with QA/QC and structural teams for pre-pour inspections and approvals.
- Ensure timely and systematic execution of concrete pouring and associated activities.
- Identify structural execution issues and coordinate with engineering/design teams for timely resolution.
Manpower & Subcontractor Management
- Plan and manage manpower requirements for the assigned tower based on the construction schedule.
- Lead and supervise Site Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, subcontractors, technicians, and workmen.
- Allocate manpower and resources effectively to achieve planned productivity and targets.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, quality, and progress.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings with subcontractors and site teams.
- Ensure subcontractors execute work according to approved scope, drawings, specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
Coordination & Planning
- Coordinate closely with Project Manager, Planning, QA/QC, MEP, Safety, Procurement, Stores, Commercial, and Design teams.
- Review construction drawings and ensure timely availability of required drawings and technical information.
- Identify site constraints and coordinate corrective actions to avoid delays.
- Coordinate MEP requirements, sleeves, openings, embedded items, and service provisions before structural and finishing activities.
- Monitor material requirements and ensure timely availability of cement, steel, concrete, shuttering materials, finishing materials, and other resources.
- Support the Planning team in preparing and updating project schedules and recovery plans.
Quality Control
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved quality standards, specifications, drawings, and method statements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and approvals at various stages of construction.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure reduction of rework, defects, and material wastage.
- Ensure timely closure of NCRs, observations, snags, and punch points.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify quality and execution issues.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved quality standards, specifications, drawings, and method statements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and approvals at various stages of construction.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, statutory requirements, and project safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the Safety team to maintain safe working conditions across the tower.
- Ensure proper use of PPE, barricading, work-at-height safety, lifting safety, housekeeping, and access arrangements.
- Take immediate corrective action in case of unsafe practices or conditions.
- Promote a strong safety culture among site teams, subcontractors, and workers.
Cost, Productivity & Resource Management
- Monitor productivity of manpower, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Optimize the use of materials, manpower, machinery, and other resources.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage and rework.
- Support project management in achieving construction targets within approved cost and schedule parameters.
- Identify productivity improvement opportunities and implement corrective measures.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for the assigned tower.
- Monitor actual progress against planned targets and highlight delays and constraints.
- Maintain records of manpower deployment, material requirements, productivity, work progress, and site issues.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager regarding tower progress, resource requirements, quality, safety, and critical issues.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide technical and execution-related inputs.
Desired Candidate Profile Educational Qualification
- BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and extensive high-rise construction experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 12–18 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Strong experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or large-scale building construction.
- Candidates with proven experience as Tower In-Charge, Construction Manager, Senior Project Engineer, or equivalent will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience with MIVAN/aluminium formwork and high-rise structural execution is highly desirable.

- Proficiency in MS Office and project reporting tools; knowledge of Primavera/MS Project will be an advantage.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
