Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Manager to lead the sales operations of an automobile dealership based in Deoghar.
The candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing the sales team, improving enquiry-to-booking conversion, developing the local market and expanding business across Deoghar and nearby districts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the dealership sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Plan and execute sales strategies for Deoghar and surrounding markets.
- Develop business and customer networks across Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Jamtara, Mihijam, Sahibganj and nearby areas.
- Monitor daily enquiries, follow-ups, test drives, bookings and retail deliveries.
- Improve Enquiry → Test Drive → Booking → Retail conversion.
- Generate new business through field visits, customer referrals, corporate clients, local networking and market activities.
- Track sales performance of individual Sales Executives and take corrective action wherever required.
- Conduct regular team meetings, sales reviews and performance evaluations.
- Guide and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Monitor competitor activities, market demand, pricing and customer preferences in the territory.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and develop new customer networks.
- Coordinate with CRM, Finance, Insurance, Service, RTO and Marketing teams for smooth vehicle delivery.
- Ensure proper use of CRM/DMS and timely follow-up of all sales leads.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports and present MIS to management.
- Plan and participate in local promotional activities, customer meets, camps and market activation programs.
- Handle important/key customers and support the team in closing high-value deals.
- Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the sales process.
Territory / Market Coverage
The candidate may be required to handle and develop the automobile sales market across:
Deoghar | Dumka | Godda | Jamtara | Mihijam | Sahibganj | Nearby Markets
Local market knowledge and willingness to travel within the assigned territory will be preferred.
Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in automobile sales/dealership.
- Candidates with experience as Sales Manager / Assistant Sales Manager / Team Leader / Senior Sales Executive will be preferred.
- Experience in Passenger Car / Two-Wheeler / Commercial Vehicle Dealership will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of automobile sales processes and dealership operations.
- Good knowledge of local market and customer network.
- Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
- Target-oriented and result-driven personality.
- Good knowledge of CRM/DMS, Excel and sales reporting.
- Must be comfortable with local travel across the assigned territory.
- Valid driving licence preferred.
