We are looking for a Senior Copy & Content Writer who can combine strong conceptual thinking with sharp writing and create communication that is not only grammatically strong but strategically relevant, culturally engaging, and commercially effective.
Role Overview
The Senior Copy & Content Writer will be responsible for developing campaign concepts, creative copy, brand narratives, social media content, scripts, digital campaigns, website content, and marketing communication across multiple platforms and industries.
The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable writing a one-line campaign headline, a 60-second video script, a social media campaign, a brand manifesto, or a long-form thought-leadership article.
The role requires someone who can think beyond "content creation" and contribute to the big creative idea behind campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Concept & Campaign Development
- Develop campaign concepts and creative platforms.
- Create campaign headlines, taglines, hooks, copy lines and communication territories.
- Translate marketing briefs into strong creative ideas.
- Participate in brainstorming and creative ideation sessions.
- Develop integrated campaign ideas across ATL, BTL, TTL and digital platforms.
- Create culturally relevant and platform-specific communication.
2. Copywriting
Write compelling copy for:
- Social media campaigns
- Digital advertisements
- Google and Meta campaigns
- Print advertisements
- Outdoor advertising
- Websites and landing pages
- Brochures and marketing collateral
- Brand films and corporate films
- Video and Reels scripts
- Radio/audio scripts
- Email campaigns
- Influencer briefs
- PR communication
- Develop short-form and long-form copy while maintaining brand tone and consistency.
3. Content Strategy
- Develop content themes and content pillars for brands.
- Create monthly and campaign-level content strategies.
- Understand audience behaviour and convert insights into communication opportunities.
- Adapt content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X and other relevant platforms.
- Develop content calendars and campaign narratives.
4. Brand Communication
- Understand brand positioning, personality, audience and competitive landscape.
- Develop brand voice and tone guidelines.
- Create brand stories, manifestos and positioning narratives.
- Ensure consistency across all communication touchpoints.
- Contribute to naming, taglines, product communication and brand architecture exercises.
5. Video & Social Content
- Write engaging scripts for Reels, short-form videos, YouTube videos and brand films.
- Develop hooks, storytelling structures and CTAs designed for digital consumption.
- Collaborate with designers, video editors, motion graphic artists and social media teams.
- Understand trends without compromising brand identity.
6. Research & Insights
- Conduct research on brands, industries, competitors, audiences and cultural trends.
- Convert research and consumer insights into creative communication.
- Stay updated with advertising trends, social media formats, emerging platforms and popular culture.
- Identify relevant moment-marketing opportunities.
7. Client & Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, Social Media Managers, Digital Marketing teams and Client Servicing teams.
- Interpret client briefs and translate them into creative solutions.
- Present and explain creative concepts when required.
- Incorporate feedback while protecting the strategic intent of the idea.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of English & Malayalam with strong grammar, vocabulary and storytelling ability.
- Strong conceptual and creative thinking.
- Ability to write both short-form copy and long-form content.
- Strong understanding of advertising and digital marketing.
- Excellent headline and hook-writing ability.
- Strong storytelling and scriptwriting skills.
- Understanding of social media platforms and digital content formats.
- Ability to understand brand strategy and consumer psychology.
- Strong research and information-gathering skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a creative team.

- Experience in advertising agencies or creative agencies.

- Experience in luxury, retail, FMCG, healthcare, real estate, hospitality, entertainment or lifestyle brands.

Qualification
Bachelor's/Master's degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Advertising, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent professional experience in advertising, content, media or creative industries will also be considered.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹48,000.00 per month
