Role Purpose
We are looking for an Agri Advisor who can provide scientific and practical agricultural guidance to farmers, support field activities, demonstrate product effectiveness, and build strong relationships with farmers, dealers, distributors, and other agricultural stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of crop practices, pest and disease management, crop nutrition, and agricultural products, along with good communication and field-handling skills.
Key Responsibilities1. Farmer & Crop Advisory
- Provide technical guidance to farmers on crop production and protection practices.
- Diagnose common crop-related issues, including pest, disease, nutrient deficiency, and other field problems.
- Recommend appropriate crop protection and nutrition solutions based on crop stage and field conditions.
- Educate farmers on correct product selection, dosage, application method, and safety precautions.
- Conduct regular farm visits and maintain strong relationships with farmers.
2. Field Demonstrations & Trials
- Conduct product demonstrations, farmer meetings, field days, and crop seminars.
- Establish and monitor demonstration plots and product trials.
- Record field observations and collect farmer feedback.
- Document product performance, crop response, and results from field demonstrations.
- Support the technical team in generating field-level product validation and success stories.
3. Product & Technical Support
- Develop strong knowledge of Katyayani Organics' product portfolio.
- Explain product benefits, application procedures, compatibility, and usage recommendations to farmers and channel partners.
- Provide technical support to the sales team, dealers, and distributors.
- Identify recurring field problems and provide feedback to the product/technical team.
- Stay updated on new agricultural technologies, crop practices, pest/disease trends, and market developments.
4. Farmer Engagement & Business Support
- Organize farmer meetings, village-level awareness programs, and crop advisory sessions.
- Support sales teams in converting technical recommendations into product adoption.
- Develop relationships with progressive farmers, FPOs, agri-input retailers, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for product trials and market development in assigned territories.
- Support customer retention through timely and effective technical advisory.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily/weekly field visit reports.
- Record farmer interactions, crop issues, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
- Track demonstration plots and trial results.
- Share market intelligence, competitor activities, farmer feedback, and emerging crop issues with the management.
- Maintain accurate records of farmer meetings, field activities, and product demonstrations.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. Agriculture / M.Sc. Agriculture preferred.
- Candidates with relevant agricultural qualifications and strong field experience may also be considered.
- 2–5 years of experience in agriculture advisory, crop protection, crop nutrition, agri-inputs, technical services, or a related field.
- Freshers with strong agricultural knowledge and excellent communication skills may be considered for suitable locations.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of crop production and crop protection.
- Good understanding of insects, pests, diseases, weeds, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Practical knowledge of pesticide, fungicide, insecticide application, and crop nutrition.
- Strong farmer communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good presentation and farmer-training skills.
- Ability to conduct field demonstrations and trials.
- Good problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Willingness to travel extensively in rural and agricultural areas.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office / mobile-based reporting applications.
- Local language proficiency is preferred.

Candidate Profile
Education: B.Sc. Agriculture / M.Sc. Agriculture
Experience: 2–5 years preferred
Industry: Agri-inputs / Crop Protection / Crop Nutrition / Agriculture Advisory
Pay: ₹140,000.00 - ₹220,000.00 per year
