Overview
We’re looking for an Senior Analyst to join the Risk Analytics Actuarial Team in Mumbai. You’ll work with Risk Placement Services (RPS), a leading partner for independent agents and brokers. RPS combines niche expertise with the capabilities of a global organisation, supported by Gallagher, one of the world’s largest insurance brokers. This is your chance to collaborate with a team that values innovation, trust, and collaboration while helping clients find the right coverage.
In this role, you’ll support reserving and pricing analyses for Property & Casualty insurance lines. You’ll collaborate with US-based teams to monitor profitability, develop pricing models, and provide rate support for new products. You’ll also help maintain data accuracy, streamline processes, and deliver insights that drive decision-making.

Conduct profitability reviews and IBNR forecasting.

Develop and maintain pricing models and premium generators.

Provide rate filing support and respond to regulatory queries.

Analyse competitor rates to ensure market competitiveness.

Collaborate with teams to improve processes and meet deadlines.
Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:

Knowledge of Python, SQL, and Excel.

Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools (advantageous).

How you'll make an impact
Responsibilities:
The candidate would be a part of the RPS Actuarial team and would be playing a pivotal role in supporting/conducting reserving and/or pricing analyses for various Property & Casualty lines of businesses, collaborating closely with counterparts in the US. The specifics include-

For current programs-
-
Own and be accountable for regular segmented quarterly profitability reviews (Incurred & Ultimate Loss Ratios).

IBNR forecasting.

Monitor profitability and communicate trends to executive leadership.

Rate indications and rate filing support as needed.
-
Maintain pricing models (to include raters) and continued program business support.

For new programs-

Develop actuarial rate support for new products.

Develop premium generators and raters.
-
Provide responses to objections/interrogatories from state departments regarding rates & rate support.

Conduct competitive rate analyses to ensure rate are both adequate and competitive in the market (pull competitor rate filings and compare to our new product)
About you
Qualifications:-
Graduate/post-graduate with 3+ years of experience in P&C insurance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large datasets, perform basic calculations.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
Direct or indirect team management experience is a plus.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SQL and R is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to effectively convey complex information.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in the field of Actuarial Science and General Insurance.
Ability to plan work effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
A student member of any of the actuarial institutes but not limited to IAI/IFoA/CAS.
