Responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the hotel's Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to ensure effective treatment of wastewater, proper functioning of plant equipment, and compliance with environmental and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the STP on a continuous basis as per hotel operating procedures.
- Monitor pumps, blowers, aeration tanks, dosing systems, filters, clarifiers, and other STP equipment.
- Check and maintain important parameters such as pH, DO, MLSS, flow, sludge level, and water quality.
- Carry out chemical dosing as per prescribed requirements.
- Collect treated-water samples and perform routine water-quality tests.
- Monitor treated water quality and ensure it is suitable for reuse/discharge as per applicable standards.
- Operate sludge dewatering equipment and manage sludge disposal as instructed.
- Perform backwashing, filter cleaning, tank cleaning, and other routine STP activities.
- Check pumps, motors, valves, pipelines, electrical panels, and mechanical equipment for abnormalities.
- Report equipment breakdowns, leakage, unusual noise, overflow, or process problems to the Engineering Supervisor.
- Maintain daily STP logbooks, operating parameters, chemical consumption, and equipment readings.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping around the STP area.
- Ensure proper operation of recycled-water systems used for landscaping, flushing, or other hotel requirements.
- Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure adequate stock and safe handling of chemicals used in the STP.
- Follow hotel safety, environmental, chemical-handling, and PPE procedures.
- Work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- ITI / Diploma / 12th pass with relevant STP/ETP experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in STP operation, preferably in a hotel, resort, hospital, mall, or commercial facility.
- Basic knowledge of sewage treatment processes and wastewater management.
- Knowledge of pumps, blowers, dosing systems, filters, clarifiers, and control panels.
- Basic knowledge of water-quality testing and chemical handling.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot common STP operational problems.
- Good housekeeping and safety awareness.
- Ability to maintain logbooks and shift reports.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
