We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior SQE - Performance Testing to lead and own the end-to-end performance engineering lifecycle. The ideal candidate will contribute to defining the performance testing strategy, execute large-scale load tests, and deliver actionable insights through robust reporting and analytics. This role will be part of the Software Quality CoE, and it demands strong technical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Additionally, this role requires leveraging modern AI/LLM tools to enhance productivity in automation, performance scripting, test design, and result analysis.
Performance Testing Strategy & Ownership
- Drive the overall performance testing strategy aligned with business and product goals.
- Own the end-to-end performance testing lifecycle, including planning, scripting, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
Test Design & Execution
- Design and implement scalable load, stress, endurance, and spike test scenarios.
- Develop and maintain performance test frameworks and reusable assets.
- Execute tests to validate system scalability, reliability, and stability under load.
Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze performance bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Deliver detailed performance reports, dashboards, and analytics with actionable recommendations.
Collaboration & Continuous Integration
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and architecture teams to resolve performance issues.
- Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous performance validation.
- Drive performance optimization initiatives and ensure SLAs/SLOs are met.
What It Takes:
Technical
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Performance Engineering.
- Strong expertise in any of the performance testing tools (code as a test) such as Gatling, K6, Locust, or similar.
- Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies, workload modeling, and capacity planning.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring & observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, New Relic, or similar).
- Strong exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Experience analyzing system metrics (CPU, memory, I/O, network, database performance).
- Proficiency in any scripting/programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes).
