- Quality Control & Process Implementation • Implement stage-wise QC checkpoints (incoming, in-process, final) with proper sign-offs • Define and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control • Ensure products are splinter-free, smooth edged, and child-safe ________________________________________ Standards, Compliance & Safety • Define and monitor Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) • Ensure compliance with toy safety standards (BIS – IS 9873, EN71 preferred) • Verify use of non-toxic paints, coatings, and materials ________________________________________ Defect Management & Improvement • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major defects and recurring issues • Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) • Work closely with production to reduce rejection, rework, and process variation ________________________________________ Production Quality Monitoring • Monitor quality across stages: o Cutting → dimensional accuracy o Sanding → smooth finish o Assembly → strength and alignment • Ensure consistency in finishing and durability of products ________________________________________ Training & Team Development • Train production teams on quality handling, finishing standards, and safety practices • Build quality awareness across shop floor teams ________________________________________ Documentation, Audits & Traceability • Maintain QC documentation, inspection reports, and audit records • Ensure batch-wise traceability of materials and finished goods • Lead internal audits and support external audits/certifications ________________________________________ Cost of Quality & Performance Monitoring • Monitor and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) • Track defects, rejections, and quality trends for continuous improvement
