Position Summary
The Assistant Manager – Maintenance will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for STP, ETP, WTP, RO plants, pumping systems, and associated utilities. The role ensures maximum equipment availability, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and cost-effective maintenance practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Ensure minimum downtime of plant equipment and utilities.
- Monitor maintenance activities of pumps, blowers, motors, gearboxes, valves, pipelines, and electrical systems.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth plant functioning.
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Asset Management
- Maintain equipment history records and maintenance logs.
- Monitor asset health and recommend replacement or refurbishment plans.
- Ensure proper lubrication and upkeep of all plant machinery.
- Maintain critical spare inventory and optimize stock levels.
Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance
- Supervise maintenance of LT panels, MCCs, VFDs, PLC-based systems, instrumentation, and control panels.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
- Coordinate with OEMs and external service providers for specialized maintenance activities.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Allocate daily maintenance tasks and monitor completion.
- Conduct training on maintenance procedures and safety practices.
- Ensure discipline, productivity, and skill development within the maintenance team.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to EHS policies and statutory regulations.
- Implement Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and safe maintenance practices.
- Participate in safety audits and corrective action implementation.
- Maintain maintenance-related compliance documentation.
Cost Control & Reporting
- Monitor maintenance budgets and control maintenance costs.
- Prepare monthly maintenance reports and KPI dashboards.
- Track breakdown frequency, MTTR, MTBF, and maintenance expenses.
- Identify opportunities for energy savings and operational efficiency improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
- Additional certifications in maintenance management, safety, or automation will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5 to 8 years of experience in maintenance of STP, ETP, WTP, RO Plants, Industrial Water Treatment Systems, Utilities, or Process Industries.
- Experience in handling both mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
- Exposure to AMC management and contractor coordination preferred.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
